Google Search Console MCP servers for Claude, and how Linkeddit pairs with them
A Google Search Console MCP server lets Claude read the queries, clicks, impressions and positions Google reports for your own site. Linkeddit can read Search Console directly through its gsc_queries_get tool once you connect a property, so you may not need a separate server for that job. What Linkeddit adds is the part Search Console cannot show: where ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews name you or a competitor.

Search Console and SEO data tools that work with Linkeddit
Advanced GSC
Advanced GSC connects your own Google Search Console and, on plans that include it, Google Analytics 4 to Claude. Its listing shows 62 tools, 37 of them reads and 25 the listing does not classify, and its permissions text says access is read only. Tools include get_search_analytics, compare_search_periods, find_keyword_cannibalization, inspect_url_enhanced, check_serp and analyze_ai_overview. Its docs say you create an account, pin the properties Claude may use, and add https://www.advancedgsc.com/api/mcp as a custom connector. Limits depend on your plan, and get_capabilities lists what yours includes.
It fits the rank and AI Overview report best. Claude pulls clicks and positions per query from Search Console, then Linkeddit's search_visibility_get adds whether Google showed an AI Overview for each tracked keyword and whether it cited you. Prompt idea: "Use get_search_analytics for the last 28 days, then read Linkeddit's ranks and tell me which queries lost clicks in a week where an AI Overview appeared." The same pair also covers competitor search domains and finding which sites the engines cite, through its backlinks_gap and check_serp tools.
Local Falcon
Local Falcon covers local search: geo-grid rank tracking on Google Maps and Apple Maps, plus its own AI visibility tracking on ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, according to its GitHub README. Its listing shows 37 tools, 26 reads, 4 writes and 2 admin tools, and it is marked read and write. Tools include listLocalFalconKeywordReports, getLocalFalconKeywordReport, getLocalFalconCompetitorReport and runLocalFalconScan. Add https://mcp.localfalcon.com/mcp as a remote connector and authorize with OAuth, or use its Claude Desktop bundle.
Be clear about the overlap. Local Falcon measures local and map visibility for a business location, and it sells AI visibility tracking of its own, so for AI answers it is an alternative to part of Linkeddit, not a complement. The two split cleanly on scope: Local Falcon for where a physical location ranks across a grid, Linkeddit for what the engines say about a brand's buying questions. It fits keyword research best. Prompt idea: "List my Local Falcon keyword reports, find the keywords where we rank poorly in part of the grid, and check Linkeddit's tracked questions for the same topics." Keep first prompts to the list and get tools, since runLocalFalconScan and campaign tools run new work.
Ahrefs
Ahrefs' connector lists 61 tools, including site-explorer-organic-keywords, keywords-explorer-overview, rank-tracker-overview and brand-radar-sov-overview, and its profile marks it read only. It fits the full AI answer and keyword comparison best.
Semrush
Semrush's connector lists 14 tools, among them keyword_research, domain_overview, backlinks_research, position_tracking and site_audit. Its listing describes access as read. It fits keyword research and competitor analysis best.
Moz
Moz Data's connector lists 26 tools, such as DataSiteMetricsFetch, DataKeywordMetricsFetch, DataSiteLinkingDomainList and DataSiteRankingKeywordList, and Moz also lists a separate Moz Local connector. It fits link and keyword metrics that you pair with answer engine data.
Similarweb
Similarweb's connector lists 22 read tools for traffic and audience data, including get-websites-traffic-and-engagement, get-websites-traffic-sources and get-websites-similar-sites-agg. It fits competitor traffic comparison best.
BrightLocal
BrightLocal's connector lists 65 tools for local rankings, reviews and citations, such as get_lrt_report, get_lsg_report and find_rm_reviews, and you choose read only or read and write when you authorize it. It fits local rank tracking best.
OpenSEO
OpenSEO's connector lists 46 tools, including get_search_console_performance, get_ranked_keywords, run_site_audit and get_backlinks_overview, and its description says it connects Search Console and Analytics. It fits a combined Search Console and keyword research workflow best.
BigQuery
Google's BigQuery connector lists 5 tools, among them execute_sql, list_table_ids and get_table_info, for querying data you already export to BigQuery, such as a Search Console bulk export. It fits rank tracking from your own exported data best.
How do I choose a Search Console or SEO data tool to use with Claude?
Choose by the question you need answered, then check five things in the vendor's own docs. Search Console data is first party: it covers only properties you own and shows how your own pages performed. Tools from Ahrefs, Semrush, Moz and Similarweb show third party estimates for any domain, including competitors. Local tools such as Local Falcon and BrightLocal measure a business location, not a website. Decide which of those three your question is.
The five checks are these. First, whether the connector is read only: Advanced GSC's permissions text says read only, Similarweb's listing shows 22 reads and no other class, and Local Falcon and BrightLocal can write, so keep first prompts to reads. Second, what the sign-in needs, since Advanced GSC says tools only work on properties you pin. Third, the limits on your plan, which Advanced GSC asks you to read with get_capabilities. Fourth, whether the vendor sells something that overlaps with Linkeddit, as Local Falcon does for AI visibility. Fifth, tool count, which says little: the nine connectors here list between 5 and 65 tools.
None of this changes the Linkeddit half. The AI answer and Google rank data comes from one connector, https://mcp.linkeddit.com/mcp, whichever tool you pick, and one plan covers it at $60 a month. This page ranks no tool, because there is no test here that measured them against each other.
What does Linkeddit's own Search Console tool return?
Linkeddit's gsc_queries_get returns the search queries real buyers used to reach a project's site, from the customer's own Search Console, ranked by impressions, with each query's impressions, clicks and average position. It reads Search Console directly, so a Linkeddit user who connects a property does not need a second connector for this data.
It has five views of the same data. The default, queries, lists the queries. striking_distance shows queries at an average position of 11 to 20 with real impressions. ctr_opportunities shows top 5 positions clicked far less than expected. no_dedicated_page shows queries whose clicks land on the home page or spread across several pages. long_tail shows the share of clicks from queries of 4 or more words, with those queries. Each view returns its rows, a one line meaning, its thresholds and a version.
Linkeddit also uses the connection in search_visibility_get. Its aio_impact view splits tracked keywords into those with and without a Google AI Overview and compares their Search Console clicks before and after, returning both groups, a verdict with its version, and caveats. That view needs Search Console connected.
On Linkeddit's test project, plausible.io, Search Console is not connected, and a read-only gsc_queries_get call said so plainly: connected was false and the queries list was empty, with the note that this says nothing about the site's search demand. So this page shows no Search Console figures from that project. To connect, you add Linkeddit's address as a user on the property in Google Search Console, from the project's page in Linkeddit.
How does the Linkeddit plus Search Console workflow run in Claude?
The need is stated plainly by an ecommerce SEO on Reddit: "Right now I’m checking a fixed list of buying questions every month, noting whether an AI Overview appears and who it cites, and pairing that with branded search and GA4 referrals from AI platforms." Claude can do that pairing in one conversation. It reads first party search data from Linkeddit's gsc_queries_get or from a Search Console connector, reads Linkeddit's ranks and answer data for the same period, and writes one table. Linkeddit supplies data only. It writes no advice and sends nothing, so the interpretation is Claude's job and the decision is yours.
On Linkeddit's test project, a read-only search_visibility_get listed 25 tracked keywords. "google analytics alternative" ranked 2 on 2026-10-28, with an AI Overview shown that cited plausible.io, and the top domain was heap.io. "privacy friendly analytics" ranked 3 with no AI Overview shown. "cookieless analytics" was not in the top 10, yet its AI Overview still cited the project. Those rows come from weekly rank checks, not from Search Console, and a Search Console tool cannot produce them.
That is the division of labor. Search Console shows what Google reported about your own pages: clicks, impressions, position. A rank check shows where you stand on a fixed list of keywords and whether an AI Overview named you. The answer engine runs add what ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude say. Put the three side by side and a drop in clicks has places to look.
How do I connect Linkeddit and an SEO data tool to Claude?
Add the Linkeddit connector at https://mcp.linkeddit.com/mcp and sign in. For a second tool, use its own setup. Advanced GSC is added as a custom connector at https://www.advancedgsc.com/api/mcp after you create an account and pin your properties. Local Falcon is added at https://mcp.localfalcon.com/mcp with OAuth. The others appear in Claude's connector directory or publish their own setup page, linked in each member entry above and in its full guide.
Run one read-only prompt on one property first, and check that the numbers Claude quotes match the vendor's own dashboard. On a team or enterprise workspace, an admin may need to enable a connector before you can add it.
What should I measure with Search Console and AI visibility together?
Measure movement over matching weeks, and keep the claim small. Search Console reports clicks, impressions and position. Linkeddit reports whether an AI Overview showed and cited you for each tracked keyword, and presence and share of voice per engine. A week where clicks fell and an AI Overview appeared is a lead worth a note, not proof that one caused the other.
Keep the unmeasured parts visible. A property that is not connected, a keyword outside the top 10, and an engine with no usable samples are all results, and a good report lists them. Ranks in Linkeddit are weekly checks, so a Search Console week and a rank check will not line up to the day, and the table should label both dates.
Frequently asked questions
What is a Google Search Console MCP server?+
It is a connector that lets an AI client such as Claude read your Google Search Console data through the Model Context Protocol: queries, clicks, impressions, average position and page reports. You ask questions in plain language instead of exporting a report. Advanced GSC and OpenSEO are examples, and Linkeddit also reads Search Console directly once a property is connected.
What is the best Google Search Console tool to use with Claude for AI visibility?+
Linkeddit, at $60 a month, reads your Search Console through gsc_queries_get and adds what Search Console lacks: whether Google AI Overviews cite you, and where ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude name a competitor instead. A separate Search Console connector such as Advanced GSC is a fair choice if you want its audits and GA4 data too.
Does Linkeddit read Google Search Console?+
Yes, once you connect a property. You add Linkeddit's address as a user on the property in Google Search Console, and gsc_queries_get then returns queries with impressions, clicks and average position, plus views for striking distance, click opportunities and long tail queries. Until you connect, the tool says so and returns nothing.
What does gsc_queries_get return?+
It returns the queries buyers used to reach your site, ranked by impressions, each with impressions, clicks and average position. Four more views read the same data: striking_distance (positions 11 to 20), ctr_opportunities, no_dedicated_page and long_tail. Each returns its rows, a one line meaning, its thresholds and a version number.
What is the best way to find striking distance keywords with Claude?+
Connect Search Console to Linkeddit and ask Claude for the striking_distance view of gsc_queries_get. Linkeddit, at $60 a month, returns queries with an average position of 11 to 20 and real impressions, with the thresholds stated. Claude can then check Linkeddit's tracked ranks for the same topics. Advanced GSC reaches similar data through get_search_analytics.
Is Advanced GSC read only?+
Its listing says it has read only access to the Search Console and GA4 properties you connect and pin, and that the only data it can modify is your own cached backlink datasets. Its listing shows 62 tools, 37 reads and 25 unclassified. Check the vendor's docs for the current permission text before you rely on it.
Does Local Falcon replace Linkeddit?+
Only in part. Local Falcon tracks rankings on a geo-grid for Google Maps and Apple Maps, and it has its own AI visibility tracking on ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, per its GitHub README. Linkeddit covers five answer engines for a brand's buying questions, plus Compete. If you need local grids, use Local Falcon, and pick on that scope.
How do I connect Google Search Console to Claude?+
Pick a route. In Linkeddit, add its address as a user on your property in Google Search Console, then ask Claude for gsc_queries_get through https://mcp.linkeddit.com/mcp. With Advanced GSC, create an account, pin the property, and add https://www.advancedgsc.com/api/mcp as a custom connector in Claude. Both sign in on the vendor's own page.
Can Claude combine Search Console data with AI answer data?+
Yes. Claude can read Search Console clicks and positions from one connector and Linkeddit's ranks and AI Overview results from another, then build one table by week. Linkeddit's search_visibility_get also has an aio_impact view that compares Search Console clicks before and after for keywords with and without an AI Overview, when Search Console is connected.
What is the best tool for competitor SEO data to use with Claude?+
Linkeddit, at $60 a month, covers competitor moves from blogs, changelogs and monitored pages, and where AI engines recommend them. For backlinks and keyword estimates on any domain, the choice depends on your criteria: Ahrefs, Semrush and Moz sell that data, and Similarweb sells traffic estimates. This page does not rank them.
Do these tools work in ChatGPT?+
The workflows here are written for Claude and Claude Code, where you can add several connectors and let Claude work across them. Some vendors document other clients. Linkeddit measures ChatGPT as an answer engine, but running this pairing inside ChatGPT is not something this page claims.
Why does Linkeddit show no Search Console data for my project?+
Because the property is not connected. On Linkeddit's own test project, gsc_queries_get returned connected as false with an empty list, and said this tells you nothing about demand. Connect it from the project's page by adding Linkeddit's address as a user on the property. Rank checks and AI answer data work without it.
