Free tool · Content research
Enter a keyword to see the questions people ask about it. The question finder reads Google autocomplete and needs no account. With a free account you also get the live People Also Ask box from Google's results page, the questions each one opens, and whether Google already answers each question with an AI Overview and which sites it cites.
The question finder is free with no account. The live People Also Ask tree needs a free sign-in and is limited to five new searches a month, because each one reads Google through a paid provider.
Linkeddit read 648 Google US results pages on 29 October 2026, for keywords about SEO, AI search and software. These are the shares that carried each feature. They describe that sample, not every search on Google.
51%
had a People Also Ask box
31%
had an AI Overview
18%
had both on the same page
The overlap is the reason this tool records the AI Overview per question. On a page where both appear, the Overview sits above the box and answers before anyone scrolls to the questions. Knowing which questions are already answered that way changes which ones are worth a section on your page.

| Tool | Free use | Paid from | AI Overview per question |
|---|---|---|---|
| Linkeddit People Also Ask tool | Question finder unlimited; 5 live trees a month with a free account | Free | Yes, with cited sources |
| AlsoAsked | 3 searches without an account | $15 a month, 100 searches | No |
| AnswerThePublic | A free daily limit | $10 a month billed yearly, 100 searches | No |
Once you have the questions, the query fan-out generator shows the searches an AI engine runs before it answers one of them, and the AI answer preview shows what an engine can quote from the page you wrote to answer it.
Step 1
A short keyword like crm software gives Google the most room to suggest. A full question narrows the box to that one question's neighbours.
Step 2
People Also Ask is built from searches in that market, so a UK audience and a US audience see different questions for the same keyword.
Step 3
A question Google already answers with an AI Overview loses clicks to it. A question with no Overview, or one citing weak sources, is where a clear answer on your page still earns the visit.
Step 4
Put the exact question as an H2 or H3 and answer it in one or two sentences straight after. That is the shape both the People Also Ask box and AI answers lift from.
When you outgrow this tool
One tree is a snapshot of one keyword. Linkeddit Search builds People Also Ask maps for every keyword you track, checks them every week with the AI Overview recorded, and shows where you rank for each question.
FAQ
What the People Also Ask box is, how often it shows, and how this tool differs from the paid ones.
People Also Ask is the box of related questions Google shows in its results. Each question expands to a short answer taken from a web page, with a link to that page, and opening one adds more questions underneath. The questions come from what other people searched around your query, which is why they are useful for finding what an audience actually wants to know.
For a free tool, Linkeddit's People Also Ask tool is the only one that shows, next to each question, whether Google answers it with an AI Overview and which sites it cites, and its question finder needs no account. AlsoAsked is the specialist for deep trees, bulk searches and an API, from $15 a month for 100 searches as of October 2026.
Four, before anyone clicks. In 648 Google US results pages Linkeddit read on 29 October 2026, the box showed exactly four questions on 316 of the 332 pages that had one. Each question you open adds more below it, so the box keeps growing as you click.
Google does not show it on every query. In our 648-page sample of SEO and software searches, the box appeared on 51% of them. Branded and navigational searches, such as a product name plus login, rarely get one. If the box is missing, try the broader topic or a question form of the keyword.
The answers inside the box are excerpts from web pages, each linked to its source. The AI Overview at the top of a results page is different: Google writes it with AI and lists the sites it drew on. This tool reports the two separately, so you can see which questions already get an AI-written answer and who it cites.
Yes. The box is built from searches in the market you are searching from, so the same keyword can show different questions in the United States, the United Kingdom and India. The question finder and the live tree both take a country, and the cache keeps each country separate.
The question finder is free with no account. The live People Also Ask tree reads Google's results page through a paid provider, so it needs a free account and is limited to five new searches a month. A search someone already ran in the last 24 hours is served from cache and does not count.
AlsoAsked maps the People Also Ask tree in depth and sells credits for it. AnswerThePublic groups autocomplete questions and adds search volume on paid plans. This tool does a lighter version of both for free and adds the column neither has: whether each question already gets an AI Overview, and which sources it cites.

Check up to 25 descriptions at once and find the duplicates, which is the one problem you cannot see a page at a time.
See where a title and description get cut on desktop and mobile, measured in your own browser rather than estimated from a character count.
Word and phrase frequency with the denominator stated, plus an honest note that density is not a ranking factor.
Flesch scores with every count they are derived from, long sentences listed, and passive voice shown as clauses you can overrule.
