CRM MCP servers for Claude: what each one does and how to pair it with competitor data

A CRM MCP server lets Claude read, and sometimes change, the records in your CRM through the Model Context Protocol. This page covers fourteen: Actively, Bigin by Zoho CRM, Endgame, Lightfield, Nutshell CRM and Salesflare in full, plus short entries for HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Attio, Close, Highspot, Salesloft and Outreach. None is ranked, because there is no test that would justify it. Linkeddit adds what no CRM holds: competitor moves and where AI answer engines recommend a rival.

CRM MCP servers that work with Linkeddit

HubSpot

HubSpot's listing shows 27 tools to search and update contacts, companies, deals, tickets and campaigns, and to read campaign and email analytics. It is a system of record with both read and write tools.

Salesforce

Salesforce's listing is labelled Beta and shows four tools: describe, discover, dispatch and dispatch_readonly, with Salesforce org permissions applying to what Claude can reach. It is aimed at larger teams and administrators.

Pipedrive

Pipedrive's official connector lists 32 tools, 20 of them reads and 12 writes, covering deals, leads, persons, organizations, notes and activities. Its listing says it respects your existing user permissions.

Attio

Attio's connector lists 23 tools, 16 of them reads, and goes beyond records to emails, notes, call recordings and meetings, with semantic search over emails and notes. Writes cover records, notes and tasks.

Close

Close's connector lists 55 tools and, per its listing, lets you allow only safe writes, such as creating a lead, or full writes including edits and deletes, when you set it up. That choice is the first thing to settle.

Highspot

Highspot's connector is a sales enablement layer, not a CRM. It lists seven tools, including search_content, get_deal_answer, lookup_deal and generate_pitch, so Claude can find sales content and deal guidance.

Salesloft

Salesloft's connector is marked read only and lists 14 tools to search accounts, people, opportunities, conversations and transcripts. It reads engagement data rather than keeping the master customer record.

Outreach

Outreach's connector is marked read only and lists 15 tools to search prospects, accounts, opportunities, sequences, emails and Kaia meeting records. Claude can look things up in it but its listing shows no write tool.

Actively

Actively's connector gives Claude the output of its per account agents: decisions, memory and recent activity for an account. Its docs list tools such as lookup_accounts (search by name or Salesforce ID), get_agent_memory, get_agent_decisions, get_recent_account_activity and list_workflows, and say the public tools are read only. The listing counts 13 tools, one of them, generate_smart_fields, marked as a write.

It fits the competitor brief best: Actively knows the account, Linkeddit knows the competitor, and Claude puts them side by side before a call. Prompt idea: "Read Linkeddit's brief on the competitor this account is evaluating, then use lookup_accounts and get_agent_decisions for the account and tell me what to say that the competitor cannot."

Bigin by Zoho CRM

Bigin is Zoho's CRM for small businesses, and its connector is Zoho MCP rather than a fixed tool list. The listing shows four tools, ZohoMCP_listTools, ZohoMCP_getSchema, ZohoMCP_getFeatures and ZohoMCP_executeTool, and Zoho's help page says you create a Zoho MCP server, add the Bigin tools you want, and your AI client needs a paid plan that supports custom connectors. The endpoint depends on your data centre region.

It fits the competitor brief best, because small teams keep deals and notes in Bigin and want the competitor context next to them. Prompt idea: "Read Linkeddit's weekly Compete brief, then show me my open Bigin deals and flag any where the buyer mentioned a competitor in the notes."

Endgame

Described only from Endgame's own connector listing and docs, because the name is shared with unrelated products. Its listing says the server connects Claude to a context graph built from your CRM records, meeting transcripts, emails, Slack conversations and uploaded documents, and that every answer cites the record it came from. It lists 27 tools, including search_graph_entities, search_graph_people, get_graph_facts, get_graph_citations, create_digest and update_salesforce. Its docs say an admin enables the connector for the organization first. The Agent Index tier for it is community, not partner.

It fits the competitor move alert best: when Linkeddit reports a competitor move, Claude can ask Endgame which of your accounts have mentioned that competitor. Prompt idea: "Read Linkeddit's high priority competitor signals for this week, then use search_graph_facts to find accounts that mention that competitor. Do not call update_salesforce or create_digest."

Lightfield

Lightfield's connector lists five tools: get_current_user, read_from_lightfield, write_to_lightfield, get_lightfield_api_details and search_lightfield_api_docs. Its quickstart gives the server URL https://mcp.lightfield.app/mcp, Streamable HTTP transport and OAuth 2.1, and suggests calling get_current_user first to confirm you connected the right identity, then trying a read-only request.

It fits the competitor brief best, since the CRM and the brief both end up in one conversation. Prompt idea: "Read Linkeddit's competitor brief, then use read_from_lightfield to list the open opportunities and say which ones the competitor could be in. Do not use write_to_lightfield."

Nutshell CRM

Nutshell's connector lists 11 tools, including search, fetch, nutshell_list_entity, nutshell_leads_report and nutshell_events for deal timelines. The Agent Index listing marks it read only, while Nutshell's own help article says Claude can search, view, create and update once you grant create and update access on the consent page. Check which access you approved. There is no API key: you sign in to Nutshell from Claude.

It fits the AI source outreach check best. Linkeddit's answer_gaps_get shows where engines recommend a rival and which sources they cite, and Nutshell can tell you whether you already have a relationship with each publisher. Prompt idea: "Read Linkeddit's gaps for this project, list the sources the engines cite, then search Nutshell for any of those companies and show the last activity."

Salesflare

Salesflare lists 16 tools, eight reads and eight writes: list_accounts, list_contacts, list_opportunities, list_pipelines, list_tasks and get_account_feed, plus create and update tools. Its listing says Claude acts with the connected user's Salesflare permissions and that deletes, where available, are destructive. Salesflare's own blog describes workflows such as finding deals that need a follow up and preparing for customer calls.

It fits the competitor brief best: list the open opportunities, read the account feed for each, and set that beside Linkeddit's view of the competitor. Prompt idea: "Read Linkeddit's brief on the competitor, then use list_opportunities and get_account_feed to find deals where that competitor came up. Do not call any create or update tool."

How do I choose a CRM MCP server to use with Claude?

Choose by criteria you can check in each vendor's own listing, not by a ranking. This page does not rank the fourteen connectors, because a ranking needs a test on your data and none was run. The listings do let you compare tool counts of 4, 5, 7, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 23, 27, 32 and 55, and tool count alone says little about whether your records are reachable.

Start with what the connector is. HubSpot, Pipedrive, Attio, Close, Lightfield, Salesflare, Nutshell and Bigin hold the customer record. Salesloft, Outreach and Highspot sit around it, in engagement and sales content. Actively and Endgame build a layer from CRM, meeting and email data. Then check four things: read only or write, who built it (the Agent Index tier for Endgame is community, the others here are partner), how you sign in, and which plan or admin setting the vendor says you need.

Settle write access before the first prompt. Close lets you allow safe writes only. Salesflare calls its deletes destructive. Endgame lists update_salesforce. Salesloft and Outreach list no write tool. For a first run, tell Claude to use read tools only.

How does the Linkeddit plus CRM workflow run in Claude?

A CRM knows your deals and your accounts. It does not know what a competitor changed this week or where ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews name a rival instead of you. Linkeddit supplies that, at $60 a month, and Claude joins it to the CRM in one conversation. Linkeddit supplies data only. It writes no advice and sends nothing, and it is not a lead generation tool.

On Linkeddit's test project, plausible.io, a read-only compete_brief_get with view=weekly returned the brief for the window 2026-10-26 to 2026-11-01. It reported five competitors monitored and signal counts of 2 high, 9 watch and 8 low. One high priority signal was "Matomo publishes critical PHP security updates and guidance", dated 2026-10-01, with a stated reason it matters. Another was "Fathom Launches Luna AI Assistant", also dated 2026-10-01.

That is the input a CRM lacks. With a CRM connector added, Claude can take the Matomo or Fathom signal and look in your pipeline for open deals where that competitor came up. The CRM half was not run for this page, so the join is a method, not a result. Linkeddit has answer_gaps_get for the other direction, the buying questions where an engine recommended someone else.

How do I connect Linkeddit and a CRM server to Claude?

Add the Linkeddit connector at https://mcp.linkeddit.com/mcp. For the CRM, use Claude's connector directory or the vendor's own setup page, linked in each entry. Lightfield, Endgame, Nutshell and Actively publish MCP URLs on their pages. Bigin works differently: you create a Zoho MCP server and add the Bigin tools you want, then connect your client to it.

On Claude team or enterprise workspaces an admin may need to enable a connector first, as Endgame's docs say. Then run one read prompt on one account. Lightfield's quickstart suggests exactly this: call get_current_user to confirm identity, then list one account. Check that what Claude quotes matches what your CRM shows before you build a routine on it.

What should I measure when I pair a CRM with competitor and AI answer data?

Measure whether the competitor signals show up in your pipeline, and keep claims small. Linkeddit reports what a competitor did and when, and where engines named them. Your CRM reports which deals are open and what was said in them. A week with a high priority competitor signal and three deals that mention that competitor is a lead worth a note. It is not proof that one caused the other.

The need is put plainly by a HubSpot agency on Reddit: "Claude Connector is stronger for deeper analysis, strategy, pipeline reviews, campaign insights, and asking complex questions about your CRM data." That is the job here, with competitor context added. Note the commenter sells HubSpot services, so treat it as a practitioner view with a commercial tilt. Also list what was not measured: a competitor with no signals, a CRM tool Claude could not reach, and a field your team never fills in.

What should I check before I trust a CRM MCP server's description?

Check the listing against the vendor's own page, because they can differ. Nutshell's Agent Index listing marks it read only with nine read tools, while Nutshell's help article says Claude can create and update once you approve create and update access on the consent page. Actively's docs call its public tools read only, while its listing counts one write tool. Neither is an error to hide. It means the access you approve at sign-in is the thing to read.

Check the maturity label too. Salesforce's listing is marked Beta. Endgame's Agent Index tier is community, where the others on this page are partner. Bigin's endpoint is not one URL, because the listing shows regional addresses and Zoho's help page has you create the server yourself. Tool lists also change: Endgame's docs say it periodically updates its tools and suggest refreshing the tools list in the connector menu.

None of this is a reason to avoid a connector. It is a reason to run one read prompt, compare the answer with your CRM's own screen, and only then allow writes.

Frequently asked questions

What is a CRM MCP server?+

It is a connector that lets an AI client such as Claude read, and in some cases update, the records in your CRM through the Model Context Protocol, so you can ask about deals and accounts in plain language. Examples here are HubSpot, Pipedrive, Attio, Close, Lightfield, Salesflare and Nutshell.

What is the best CRM MCP server to use with Claude for competitor and AI answer data?+

Linkeddit supplies the competitor and AI answer data, at $60 a month: competitor moves, review themes, and where five answer engines recommend a rival. The CRM server depends on your criteria: the CRM you already use, read only or write access, who built the connector, and your sign-in and admin setup.

Which CRM MCP server is best?+

No ranking is justified without a test on your data, so this page does not give one. Linkeddit, at $60 a month, adds competitor and answer engine data to whichever you pick. Choose by the CRM you already hold records in, then check read or write access, the builder's tier, and the sign-in the vendor documents.

Which CRM connectors here are read only?+

By their listings, Salesloft and Outreach are read only, Actively's docs call its public tools read only, and Nutshell is marked read only although its own help article describes create and update access. HubSpot, Pipedrive, Attio, Close, Lightfield, Salesflare and Endgame list write tools. Check each vendor's page.

Does Claude need a paid plan to use a CRM connector?+

Some vendors say so. Zoho's Bigin help page says your AI tool needs a paid plan that supports custom MCP connectors, and Nutshell's article says connecting through Claude requires a paid Claude account. Pipedrive's listing says its connector is available on all paid Pipedrive plans. Check each vendor's page for current requirements.

How do I connect a CRM and Linkeddit to Claude?+

Add Linkeddit at https://mcp.linkeddit.com/mcp and the CRM from Claude's connector directory or the setup page its vendor publishes. Sign in to each, then run one read prompt on one account. On team workspaces an admin may need to enable the connector first, as Endgame's docs note.

Can Claude change records in my CRM through these connectors?+

Several can. HubSpot, Pipedrive, Attio, Close, Lightfield and Salesflare list write tools, Endgame lists update_salesforce, and Close lets you choose safe writes only or full writes. Tell Claude to use read tools until you have checked what it will change, and prefer a connector setting that limits writes.

Can I use a CRM server and Linkeddit in the same Claude conversation?+

Yes. Claude can hold both connectors in one conversation. It reads the CRM for your deals and accounts and Linkeddit for competitor moves and answer engine gaps, then builds one table. Neither connector sends data to the other, so the join happens in Claude and you can inspect it.

What is the best tool to find which competitors my deals mention?+

Linkeddit, at $60 a month, supplies the competitor side: signals, page changes, reviews and briefs for the rivals you track. Your CRM connector supplies the deals and notes. Claude compares them, so you see which open deals involve a competitor that just moved. Linkeddit does not read your CRM.

Does Linkeddit replace a CRM or a sales engagement tool?+

No. A CRM holds your customer records and a sales engagement tool such as Salesloft or Outreach runs your outreach. Linkeddit measures something neither does: what competitors changed and what AI answer engines say about you and your rivals. It is not a lead generation tool and sends no messages.

Why is Endgame described so briefly here?+

The name is shared with unrelated products, and this page uses only Endgame's own connector listing and docs. Those describe a context graph built from CRM records, meetings, email, Slack and documents, with citations to the source record. No independent review of it was used, and its Agent Index tier is community.

Do these workflows work in ChatGPT?+

The workflows here are written for Claude and Claude Code, where you can add both connectors. Some vendors also document other clients. Linkeddit measures ChatGPT as an answer engine, but running this CRM pairing inside ChatGPT is not something this page claims.

How do I check a competitor signal against my pipeline?+

Ask Claude to read Linkeddit's compete_signals_get for the high priority rows, then search your CRM for deals or notes naming that competitor. Report only matches Claude can quote from a record. A signal with no match is a result too, and Linkeddit attributes nothing to a single signal.
