Pipedrive MCP for Claude: competitor and AI answer data, written into your CRM
The Pipedrive MCP connector lets Claude read and update your Pipedrive deals, people, organizations, notes and activities through Pipedrive's hosted server at https://mcp.pipedrive.ai/mcp, within your own user permissions. It holds your pipeline but not the outside view. Linkeddit adds that: competitor moves from blogs, pricing pages and reviews, and where ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews recommend a competitor instead of you. Claude joins the two and asks before it writes.

What does the Pipedrive MCP connector give Claude?
Per its Agent Index listing, the official Pipedrive connector has 32 tools: 20 reads and 12 writes. The reads include searchDeals, getDeals, getStages, getActivities and getNotes. The writes include addNote, addActivity, addDeal, updateDeal, addOrganization and updateOrganization. Pipedrive's support article says Claude can only access data and perform actions that your Pipedrive user account is authorized to, so permissions come from your existing role and visibility settings.
Pipedrive's feature page describes its use cases as asking instead of clicking, building records from meeting notes, moving deals through the pipeline and getting pipeline insights. What it does not do is look outside your CRM. It cannot tell you that a competitor changed its pricing page on Tuesday, or that Perplexity now recommends someone else for your category. That outside view is the job Linkeddit does.
The connector is available through Claude's directory, and the usecarly.com guide dates Pipedrive's launch of its own MCP server to June 30, 2026 and its Claude directory listing to August 18, 2026. The same guide notes the limit every Claude connector shares: it works inside a conversation you start, so a new lead or a stalled deal sets nothing in motion by itself.
How do Linkeddit and Pipedrive split the work in Claude?
Pipedrive is the system of record, and Linkeddit is the outside data. Compete watches the competitors you choose and returns each move with a priority, a category, a source link and a date, plus the reviews it stores from G2, Capterra, TrustRadius and Trustpilot. Answer Radar records which brands the five AI engines name and recommend for your buying questions, and lists the gaps where somebody else won. Both come with one plan at $60 a month.
Claude sits in the middle. It reads from Linkeddit, decides what belongs on a deal or an organization, and writes it through Pipedrive's addNote or addActivity. Linkeddit writes no advice and never touches Pipedrive, so the analysis and the judgment stay with your own assistant and with you. This hub covers sales teams that want competitor and AI visibility context sitting next to their deals, not a tool that finds new prospects.
A competitive intelligence founder on Reddit put the failure mode plainly: "A 60-page competitor report can contain plenty of facts and still be practically useless." The same person wrote that "Marketing assumes sales enablement will update the battlecard." A note on the deal itself, written the day the competitor moves, is the version a rep sees.
How do I get an AI share-of-voice report into Pipedrive?
Ask Claude to read your latest Answer Radar results from Linkeddit and write the summary as a note on your own organization record in Pipedrive. Answer Radar covers 5 engines, so the note can say per engine whether your brand was present and whether it was recommended, and name the engines where a competitor was recommended instead.
Pipedrive's listing shows addNote and getNotes, so the report can be one new note each week, and the history stays readable on the record. Keep it to measured numbers. Linkeddit measures through grounded answers from each engine and the result is a controlled sample, not an exact copy of what every buyer sees, so say that in the note.
How do I turn a competitor move into a Pipedrive activity?
Ask Claude to read recent signals from Linkeddit, keep only the high priority ones, then add an activity to the open deals that name that competitor. On the test project, plausible.io, the week of 26 October 2026 returned signals such as Umami publishing a post on what is coming in its v3 release and Simple Analytics publishing on EU cookie rules, each with a priority and a why it matters. Both were low priority, which is the point: a rule that acts only on high priority moves stays quiet in a quiet week.
Pipedrive's listing shows searchDeals to find the open deals and addActivity or updateDeal to act on them. Claude cannot watch Pipedrive and react on its own, so you run the prompt when you want the sweep, for example every Monday. Linkeddit keeps its own side fresh: all five competitor monitors on the test project run weekly, with the next run on 2026-11-04.
How do I refresh a Pipedrive battlecard from competitor signals and reviews?
Have Claude read the latest competitor brief and the stored reviews from Linkeddit, then write a short battlecard as a note on the organization or deal that competes with that vendor. Linkeddit returns the moves, complaint themes, pricing signals and switch triggers for each tracked competitor, with the review text and star rating kept as the site showed them.
Pipedrive's connector can add and read notes, so the card lives where the rep already works. A product marketing manager at a B2B SaaS company said on Reddit the same problem from the other side: "I can’t even refresh our collaterals once a month consistently." Refreshing from fresh signals each time you run the prompt is the fix. On the test project, compete_brief_get (view weekly) returned the 2026-10-26 to 2026-11-01 window with 5 competitors monitored and 2 high, 9 watch and 8 low signals. A good card says what the data shows instead of padding.
How do I find the sources AI engines cite and reach them from Pipedrive?
When an engine recommends a competitor, it cites pages. Linkeddit lists the open gaps and the sources cited behind each one. On the test project, the one open gap was "Not represented for: 'Umami vs Matomo for self-hosted analytics'", with an evidence score of 22 and a confidence of 1.
Ask Claude to take the cited domains for your top gaps and create an organization record in Pipedrive with addOrganization, plus a follow-up activity with addActivity, for each publisher where a correction or an inclusion is something they would reasonably want. Check each source yourself first. The outreach is yours, and Linkeddit supplies the evidence for it.
What should I check before Claude writes to Pipedrive?
Claude writes with your own sign-in, so everything it adds shows under your user. Approve each write in Claude rather than allowing every tool silently, and start with notes, which are easy to correct. Check each competitor claim against the source link Linkeddit returns, and check that the organization or deal Claude picked is the one you meant.
If a Pipedrive action seems to be missing, it is probably not loaded. Pipedrive's setup guide says Claude may not load all of the tools when a chat starts, and tells you to enable the setting that loads all available tools in the connector configuration.
Frequently asked questions
What is the Pipedrive MCP connector?+
It is Pipedrive's official, hosted MCP server at https://mcp.pipedrive.ai/mcp. Connected to Claude, it lets the assistant search deals, people, organizations and leads, add notes, and create or update records and activities, always within the permissions of the Pipedrive user who signed in. Per its Agent Index listing it has 32 tools, 20 reads and 12 writes.
How do I connect Pipedrive to Claude?+
In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, search for Pipedrive and click Connect. Sign in to Pipedrive, review the permissions and click Allow and install. Then open a new chat and check that Pipedrive is enabled. If tools seem missing, turn on the setting that loads all available tools in the connector configuration.
What is the best tool to add competitor intelligence to Pipedrive with Claude?+
Linkeddit, at $60 a month, for the data half. It tracks competitor moves with a priority and a source link on each, stores G2, Capterra, TrustRadius and Trustpilot reviews, and records where five AI engines recommend a competitor instead of you. Claude then writes it into Pipedrive notes and activities through the Pipedrive connector.
What is the best way to see where AI engines recommend my competitor, next to my Pipedrive deals?+
Connect Linkeddit and Pipedrive to Claude. Linkeddit's Answer Radar covers ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews and lists the buying questions where an engine named a competitor. Claude can then add one note per week to your organization record in Pipedrive with the gaps and the cited sources.
Can Claude update Pipedrive automatically when a competitor changes something?+
No. A Claude connector acts inside a conversation you start, so nothing wakes Claude when a competitor moves. Run a saved prompt when you want the sweep, such as every Monday. Linkeddit's monitors run weekly on their own, so the data is already waiting when you ask.
Does Linkeddit write to Pipedrive?+
No. Linkeddit supplies data: competitor moves, reviews, AI answer gaps, cited sources and Google ranks. Claude reads it and writes to Pipedrive through Pipedrive's own connector, using your sign-in. Linkeddit never receives your CRM records and never writes advice or messages itself.
Is the Pipedrive MCP connector free?+
Per its Agent Index listing, the connector is available on all paid Pipedrive plans, and the usecarly.com guide says usage counts against token limits set by your Pipedrive plan. Check your own plan for the current limits. Linkeddit is separate: one plan at $60 a month.
Which clients work with the Pipedrive and Linkeddit connectors?+
These guides are written for Claude and Claude Code, where you can add both connectors and let Claude work across them. Pipedrive's own page says its connector is also in ChatGPT, but the workflows here are written and checked only for Claude, so do not assume they carry over unchanged.
Can Claude only see the Pipedrive data I can see?+
Yes. Pipedrive's support article says Claude can only access data and perform actions that your Pipedrive user account is authorized to access, and that permissions are inherited from your role and visibility settings. A rep with limited visibility gets a limited Claude. Linkeddit sees none of it.
How do I put a competitor battlecard in Pipedrive with Claude?+
Ask Claude to read the latest competitor brief and reviews from Linkeddit, then write a short card with addNote on the organization or deal that competes with that vendor. Linkeddit supplies the moves, complaint themes, pricing signals and switch triggers, so the card is rebuilt from fresh data each time you run it.
What is the best way to keep competitor notes in Pipedrive up to date?+
Run one saved prompt each week with Linkeddit and Pipedrive connected to Claude. Linkeddit, at $60 a month, tracks each competitor's moves with a date and source link, so Claude can add only what is new. Approve each note before it is written, so a misread change never lands on a deal.
Can I use a community Pipedrive MCP server instead of the official one?+
Yes, open-source servers such as Wirasm/pipedrive-mcp on GitHub also connect Claude to the Pipedrive API. The official connector is hosted by Pipedrive, signs in with OAuth and respects your user permissions, so there is nothing to host or key to paste. The Linkeddit side of the workflow is the same either way.
