HubSpot and Claude competitor intelligence: Linkeddit supplies the data, HubSpot holds the work
HubSpot and Claude competitor intelligence takes two connectors. Linkeddit tracks what competitors change each week and where ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews name a competitor instead of you. The HubSpot connector lets Claude read and write the records your team already uses: notes, tasks, companies and deals. You approve each write before it reaches HubSpot.

What you can do with HubSpot and Linkeddit
How do Linkeddit and the HubSpot connector split the work?
The HubSpot connector is the system of record. Its listing shows 27 tools, 17 of them reads and 9 writes. Per HubSpot's help page, Claude can read and create contacts, companies, deals and tickets, log notes and tasks, and read campaign data and marketing email analytics. It holds your pipeline and your buyers' own words, but it has no view of what competitors changed this week.
Linkeddit is the outside view. Compete monitors up to 12 competitors weekly and returns each move with a priority, category, source link and date, with reviews stored separately. Answer Radar records where the five AI engines recommend a competitor instead of you. All of it comes with one plan at $60 a month.
Claude does the analysis and the writing, and asks before it writes. The first guide in this hub, a competitor battlecard stored in HubSpot, shows the pattern end to end.
How do I get an AI share-of-voice report into HubSpot?
Ask Claude to pull your latest Answer Radar results and run history from Linkeddit, then write the summary as a note on your own company record in HubSpot. Linkeddit returns, per engine, how often your brand was present and how often it was recommended, so the note can state both and name the engines where a competitor was recommended instead.
HubSpot's help page lists notes as readable, creatable and updatable, so a weekly report can be a new note each week and your team reads the history on the record. If a report should reach people who are not in the CRM, the connector can also create and update marketing emails and blog posts, though both take the author and approval steps HubSpot requires.
Keep the report to measured numbers. Linkeddit measures through official provider APIs with grounded web search and labels the result a controlled proxy, not an exact copy of what each buyer sees, so say that on the note.
How do I turn a competitor move into a HubSpot workflow?
The connector listing names no tool that builds a workflow, so Claude does not create one. The reliable pattern is that Claude writes the trigger and a HubSpot workflow you build reacts to it. HubSpot documents a Property value changed enrollment trigger and an Object created trigger, so Claude can set a property on a company record, or create a task, when Linkeddit shows a high priority move.
On the test project, the week of 26 October 2026 had 19 signals, of which 2 were high priority: a Fathom Analytics AI assistant launch and a Matomo security update. A rule that acts only on high priority moves would have fired twice that week and ignored the other 17.
Plan for HubSpot's limits. The connector can read and create properties but not update them, so create the property in HubSpot first. HubSpot lists workflows under Professional or Enterprise subscriptions, and creating or editing one needs Super Admin or Workflows permission.
How do I find the sources AI engines cite and reach them?
When an engine recommends a competitor, it usually cites pages. Linkeddit lists the open gaps and the sources cited behind each one. Ask Claude to take the cited domains for your top gaps and create a company record and a follow-up task in HubSpot for each publisher you could realistically contact, with the cited page link in the task.
HubSpot's own example prompts include creating follow-up tasks, and tasks and companies are both creatable through the connector. Create ten records or fewer at a time, since bulk creates are capped at 10, and review each one before approving.
Linkeddit lists the sources and Claude drafts the notes, but the outreach itself is yours. Check that each source is a page where a correction or inclusion is something the publisher would reasonably want.
What should I check before connecting?
HubSpot requires an active HubSpot user account and a paid Anthropic subscription (Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise). A Super Admin chooses which data permissions the connector gets, and each person can reach only the data their own HubSpot permissions allow.
If your HubSpot account has Sensitive Data turned on, HubSpot says Claude cannot access any engagement data. Notes and tasks fall under engagements, so confirm this before you plan a workflow that depends on them. Start with one record, as HubSpot recommends, before any bulk change.
Frequently asked questions
How do I use HubSpot and Claude for competitor intelligence?+
Connect the HubSpot connector and Linkeddit to Claude. Linkeddit supplies this week's competitor moves with source links and dates. HubSpot supplies your deals and notes. Claude drafts the competitor brief or battlecard from both and, once you approve, writes it to HubSpot as a note or task.
What is the best tool for competitor intelligence in HubSpot?+
Linkeddit, at $60 a month. It monitors up to 12 competitors weekly and returns each move with a priority, category and source link, plus stored reviews from G2, Capterra, TrustRadius and Trustpilot. Connect it to Claude beside the HubSpot connector and Claude records what matters on your company and deal records.
Can Claude create a HubSpot workflow for me?+
Not according to the connector listing, which names no workflow tool. Claude can write what a workflow listens for, such as a property value or a task, and you build the workflow in HubSpot with a property value changed or object created trigger. Workflows need a Professional or Enterprise subscription.
What can the HubSpot connector for Claude change?+
HubSpot's help page says it can create and update records including contacts, companies, deals and tickets, log notes and tasks, and create and update marketing emails, landing pages and blog posts. It cannot delete records. Bulk changes are limited to 10 records at a time, and writes are attributed in the audit log.
Does Linkeddit write to my HubSpot account?+
No. Linkeddit supplies data: competitor moves, reviews, AI answer gaps and cited sources. Writes go through the HubSpot connector, and Claude shows each one for your approval first. That keeps the record of what changed in HubSpot's audit log, attributed to you and the connector.
Which clients work with the Linkeddit and HubSpot connectors?+
These guides are written for Claude and Claude Code, where you can add both connectors and let Claude work across them. HubSpot also lists a connector for ChatGPT, but the workflows here have only been written for Claude, so do not assume they carry over unchanged to another client.
