Fitness: the claim is a timeline, and a timeline is the hardest thing to stand behind
Almost every fitness page sells a schedule. Results in six weeks, strength in thirty days, a body by summer. It is the most persuasive sentence available in the category and the one with the least behind it, because the variable that decides the outcome is the buyer.
Why the timeline is where this category breaks
A supplement claim can be argued from a formulation. A software claim can be argued from a feature. A fitness outcome depends on adherence, starting point, sleep, diet and injury history, none of which the page knows and all of which decide whether the promise holds.
Which means the timeline sentence is usually supported by a testimonial from somebody unusual, or by nothing at all. Both read identically on the page, and only one of them is defensible.
A generated page grades those sentences against the evidence behind them and reports which rest on nothing. It also catches the two categories fitness copy trips constantly: health, because the outcome is about a body, and comparative, because the category positions against the thing the buyer already quit.
What the buyer has already tried, in their words
The reason they stopped
Not the reason they started. Fitness buyers have almost always bought something in this category before, and the page that names why they quit it is the page that gets read.
The specific friction
Public discussion is unusually concrete here: the app that nagged, the programme that assumed a gym, the equipment that did not fit the room. That detail is the argument.
What the incumbent just changed
Price rises, paywalled features and app rewrites are the moments a lapsed user reconsiders, and they are tracked rather than guessed at.
What you actually deliver
Your own facts, extracted from your site and lockable, so the page describes your programme rather than the category's average.
Test the promise rather than defending it
This is a good category for an in-page A/B test, because the disagreement inside most fitness teams is about exactly one sentence: how specific the promise should be. That is a variable you can run rather than argue, with both arms carrying the same measurement and no winner declared until the sample supports one.
A rate is reported as not enough data yet rather than as a number until there is enough of it, and a split that has gone lopsided is reported as broken rather than as a result.
The format that usually fits
The presell page, because the buyer's obstacle is belief that anything in this category works for them, and that has to be addressed before the offer rather than around it. If you are running a discount, check the pair you have with the message match grader first: a promotion set up in the ad account and never added to the page is one of the most common and most expensive mismatches there is.
