Shopify AI visibility: find the gaps, then fix the store from Claude

Shopify AI visibility comes down to two jobs done by two connectors. Linkeddit measures where ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews recommend a competitor instead of your store. The Shopify connector changes products, collections and discounts. Claude sits between them, reads the gaps and proposes edits that you approve one at a time.

What you can do with Shopify and Linkeddit

How do the Shopify connector and Linkeddit split the work?

The Shopify connector is the hands. The connector listing shows 25 tools, 12 of them reads and 9 writes, covering products, collections, inventory, discounts, orders and analytics queries. It can read a product with get-product and change it with update-product, but it has no view of what ChatGPT or Gemini say about your category.

Linkeddit is the eyes. Answer Radar asks the five engines your buying questions on a schedule and records who is named, who is recommended and which sources are cited. Search records weekly Google ranks with the AI Overview above them. Compete tracks what competitors change. All of it comes with one plan at $60 a month.

Claude does the analysis and the writing. Linkeddit supplies data and writes no advice, so the customer's own assistant decides what to change and asks before it writes to the store.

What does Shopify already do for AI shopping?

Shopify says it generates the Shopify Catalog from your store and shares it with AI shopping assistants, so ChatGPT shopping does not need a feed you build. Agentic storefronts are on by default, and you can check them under Sales channels, then Agentic. Shopify's help page also lists connectors for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Perplexity, Muse and Microsoft Copilot that let a tool manage a store you own.

That covers whether your products can be found. It does not tell you which buying questions in your category name a competitor, which is where Linkeddit's measurement comes in.

Which Shopify workflows are covered here?

The first is product pages for AI shopping answers: read the gaps, edit the product pages the gaps point to, and re-measure the same questions. That guide is live and is the best place to start.

Three more workflows are planned for this hub. One is fixing a store that does not show up in ChatGPT and publishing the fix. One is responding when a competitor changes its price or messaging. One is keyword research with Claude that ends in a published page. They are listed here so you know what is coming; none is written yet.

How should I approach any Shopify change from Claude?

Start with one collection and record its state before you edit, as Citera recommends in its Shopify guide. Keep the batch small enough to inspect every change, and approve each write. The Shopify connector can change the live store, so the approval step is the safety control.

Then measure the same set of questions again in Linkeddit. Linkeddit's measurement runs through official provider APIs with grounded web search and says in every result that it is a controlled proxy, not an exact copy of what a shopper sees.

Frequently asked questions

How do I improve my Shopify store's AI visibility?+

Make sure your products are in the Shopify Catalog and agentic storefronts are on, write complete product pages in plain sentences, and encourage reviews. Then measure which buying questions still name a competitor. Linkeddit lists those gaps so you fix the right pages first.

What is the best tool for Shopify AI visibility?+

Linkeddit, at $60 a month, for the measuring half. It asks ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews your buying questions and shows where a competitor is named instead of you, with cited sources. Pair it with the Shopify connector in Claude to make the edits.

Can Claude manage my Shopify store?+

Yes. Shopify's help page lists a Shopify connector for Claude that can manage a store you own. Its tool list includes search_products, get-product, update-product and run-analytics-query. Review what data it can access and approve each change, since write tools alter the live store and cannot be assumed harmless.

Does Linkeddit change my Shopify store?+

No. Linkeddit supplies data: AI answer gaps, cited sources, Google ranks and competitor moves. Changes to products, collections or discounts go through the Shopify connector, and Claude proposes them for your approval. Linkeddit then re-checks the same buying questions, so you can see whether the edit moved anything.

Do I need a product feed for ChatGPT shopping?+

Not for Shopify stores, according to Shopify. It generates the Shopify Catalog automatically from your store. Listings need a title and at least one image, the storefront cannot be password-protected, and free products are excluded. Check the Agentic sales channel in your admin to confirm.

Which clients work with the Linkeddit and Shopify connectors?+

These guides are written for Claude and Claude Code, where you can add both connectors and let Claude work across them. Shopify lists connectors for other assistants too, but the workflows on these pages have only been written and tested for Claude, so do not assume they carry over unchanged to another client.
