Brand24 vs AI Mention Trackers (2026): What the $99 Add-On Buys, and When a Dedicated Tracker Wins

Brand24 is a social listening tool with 359 G2 reviews and a $99 add-on that runs your prompts through four AI engines. Whether that add-on is enough depends on a question its marketing does not answer: are AI answers one tab in your brand monitoring, or the job itself? This page reads Brand24's own pricing and add-on pages on the day, prices the same programme on five dedicated trackers including ours, quotes G2 and Reddit with the platform named, and adds what four engines actually said about Brand24 on our own run. We sell one of the trackers, so check every price yourself.

Key takeaways

  • Verified 4 September 2026 on brand24.com: Individual $249/month or $199 annual (3 keywords, 2,000 mentions, 1 user, 12-hour updates), Team $349/$299 (7 keywords, 10,000 mentions, hourly), Pro $499/$399 (12 keywords, 40,000 mentions, realtime), Business $699/$599, Enterprise from $1,499 annual. API is an extra $149. The AI Visibility module is an add-on on every plan below Enterprise.
  • The add-on is $99 a month, four models (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overview, Gemini), 30 prompts, powered by Chatbeat. No Claude. Cheapest all-in: $298 a month annual, $348 monthly, for 30 prompts.
  • Same money on a dedicated tracker: Searchable Pro $125 for 100 prompts on three engines; Peec $80 annual for 50 prompts on three models of your choice; Otterly $29 for 15 prompts on four; Rankscale $99 for 1,200 credits on seventeen engines; Linkeddit $99 for four engines including Claude.
  • Brand24 wins when you need the listening: 25 million sources, sentiment, events detection, PR reports, a 4.6 on 359 G2 reviews. Nobody in the dedicated group does that.
  • Reddit's complaints are noise and price, not data: 'lots of noise', 'price jumps sharply as you track more keywords' in r/MARKETINbuzz; '99% of our results are just people selling stuff' in r/AskMarketing.
  • Measured on our own run: Brand24 was recommended in 2 of 3 Perplexity answers, named in 2 of 15 Gemini and 1 of 10 Claude answers, and brand24.com was cited in 1 of 220 answers. The engines know it mostly from roundups, not from its own pages.
  • Switch if AI answers are the job, you need Claude, you need more than 30 prompts, or you want the tool to end in a fix. Stay if the listening is what you pay for and the AI tab is a bonus.

01The short answer

Keep Brand24 and add the $99 module if you already pay for its listening and want a weekly look at how ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews describe you on up to 30 prompts. Move to a dedicated tracker if AI answers are the actual job: you need Claude, you need more than 30 prompts, you want the engines your buyers use rather than the four Brand24 picked, or you want the measurement to end in a fix and a re-measurement. At $298 a month all-in, Brand24’s AI tracking costs more than every dedicated tracker in this comparison below their top tiers, and buys the fewest prompts. That is not a knock on Brand24, whose product is the listening; it is a reason not to buy a listening tool for an AI tracking job.

02What Brand24's AI Visibility add-on actually is

Brand24 is a media monitoring and social listening platform: you give it keywords, it collects mentions from what its pages call 25 million sources, social networks, news, blogs, forums, reviews, podcasts, newsletters, Reddit, and scores them for sentiment, reach and topic. In 2026 it added an AI Visibility module, described on brand24.com/llm-visibility as “powered by” a product called Chatbeat and surfaced inside the Brand24 sidebar under LLM Listening. You define prompts, the module runs them through AI engines on a schedule, and reports a Brand Score built from mention frequency and position, share of voice against competitors, the key prompts where you appear, and the sources the engines cite. A Semrush integration populates the prompt list with search volumes.

Its own FAQ on 4 September 2026 is precise about the limits: the paid add-on covers four models, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overview and Gemini, with a limit of 30 prompts; the trial covers the same four with five prompts. For more prompts or additional models, contact Brand24. The page’s analytics blurb says “know exactly where you stand across 9 LLMs” and a case study counter says “4 LLM models monitored simultaneously”; the FAQ’s four is the number a buyer gets. Brand24’s separate ai-visibility page lists “ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, and other LLM platforms”, which is not the same list. We could not reconcile the two on the day, so we quote the FAQ, which is the one that names a price.

03Brand24 pricing on the day

brand24.com/prices returns a 403 to ordinary fetchers, so we read it through a proxy as plain text on 4 September 2026. Prices are in US dollars; the annual figure is the monthly equivalent when billed yearly, which the page frames as up to three months free.

Other lines that matter: API access is listed at an additional fee of $149. Smart Context Search, the AI filter that cuts noisy mention feeds down, is itself an add-on on Pro and Business. AI Insights are limited to two projects on Pro and five on Business. The 14-day trial is free. Every price on this page is Brand24’s as of 4 September 2026; the vendor changes packaging, so check before you buy.

04The add-on arithmetic

The $99 headline is only meaningful with a Brand24 plan under it, and the plan is where the money goes. Here is what AI answer tracking through Brand24 costs at each tier, and what you get for it.

Brand24 tier + add-onAll-in, annualAll-in, monthlyAI promptsAI enginesPer AI prompt per month, annual
Individual + AI Visibility$298$348304, no Claude$9.93

Business + AI Visibility$698$798304, no Claude$23.27

The per-prompt column is the unfair-but-true reading: if you bought Brand24 only for AI answers, you would be paying about $10 a prompt a month at the cheapest tier. Nobody should read it that way, because the plan buys the listening and the $99 buys the AI tab. The fair reading is the next section: what does $99, or $298, buy on tools built for this job.

05The dedicated trackers, priced on the same day

Read across the Claude column first, because it is the clearest difference. Brand24’s add-on does not cover Claude at any price it prints. Linkeddit covers it at entry, Searchable lets you pick it, Peec puts it on Enterprise, Otterly sells it, Rankscale meters it. Then read prompts: Brand24’s 30 is the smallest number in the table except Otterly’s $29 Lite, and Otterly is a tenth of the price. Then read the last column, which is where we live and where we say so: only one row ends in a drafted fix and a re-measurement, and it is ours, so weigh it accordingly.

06Brand24 vs Searchable, the comparison people actually search

Search Console shows people arriving at this site on “brand24 vs searchable for ai mention tracking”, so here is that pair directly. Searchable is a London-based AI search visibility platform whose pricing page on 4 September 2026 lists Pro at $125 a month for 100 prompts across ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Perplexity with 9,000 AI answers analysed, Scale at $400 for 500 prompts and more than 45,000 answers, and Enterprise from $999 with API access and SSO; the compare table lets you select engines at onboarding from ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Copilot, DeepSeek, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Grok and Claude, and the product navigation lists an MCP and an agent. A Search Atlas review dated 4 August 2026 describes its Actions feature as scoring citation gaps as opportunities by impact and severity and surfacing each as a team task, and notes that Searchable does not deploy fixes to a website itself.

ReviewsG2 4.6/5 on 359 (listening product)Not checked on the day

The verdict writes itself for the AI tracking job: Searchable gives more than three times the prompts for less than half the all-in price, with Claude available and an actions layer. Brand24 wins only if the listening is the reason you are there. If you were searching “brand24 vs searchable” because you already own Brand24 and want AI visibility too, the question is whether $99 for 30 prompts inside a dashboard you already open beats $125 for 100 in a new one. For a first look, the $99 is convenient. For a programme, it is not enough prompts.

07G2 and Reddit

G2 on 4 September 2026: Brand24 holds 4.6 out of 5 across 359 reviews, 76 percent five-star, 20 percent four-star, 1 percent three-star and nothing below. That is a listening product’s record, built over years; the AI Visibility add-on is too new to have its own review base, and we did not find reviews that evaluate it separately. Treat the 4.6 as evidence about the listening, not about the AI tab.

Reddit, attributed to subreddits only. The most useful thread is a r/sociallistening comparison of Brand24 and Sprout Social from August 2026: the poster found them “actually pretty different tools”, Sprout for management plus listening with listening as an expensive add-on, Brand24 for monitoring including offline media, and added that Brand24 “also tracks brand visibility across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity, which has honestly become part of my weekly monitoring routine”. Note the Claude in that sentence against the FAQ’s four models; we report both. The replies were almost entirely other vendors pitching, which is its own data point about the category. A r/MARKETINbuzz breakdown listed the pros as a clean dashboard, real-time alerts, PR monitoring and an influencer score, and the cons as “lots of noise, especially if your brand name is common”, hit-or-miss sentiment, surface-level analytics, and “price jumps sharply as you track more keywords”. An agency in r/AskMarketing trying to use Brand24 for B2B voice-of-buyer research reported that “99% of our results are just people selling stuff” despite aggressive negative keywords. A social strategist’s roundup in r/Marketingcurated filed Brand24 alongside BrandMentions as the pick “for indie hackers”.

Brand24 is like a social radar, great for awareness, but it won't automatically translate to leads unless you act fast on what you find.
via r/MARKETINbuzz, a pros-and-cons review of Brand24

The pattern across the threads is consistent with the pricing page: the product collects a lot, the work of deciding what matters is yours, and the AI filter that helps is an add-on. None of the threads complains about data accuracy on the listening side, and none evaluates the AI Visibility numbers at all.

08Measured: what four AI engines say about Brand24

This section is ours and labelled as such. On 4 September 2026 we ran our own Answer Radar project for linkeddit.com, 21 approved buying questions about AI visibility and competitive intelligence tools, through ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity via their official APIs with grounded search. Brand24 is not a tracked competitor on that project, so every Brand24 row is a volunteered mention. Admissible samples only, counts stated, per the methodology.

Engine (admissible samples)Brand24 namedRecommendedBest position
Perplexity (3)2 of 32 of 34
Gemini (15)2 of 151 of 1512
Claude (10)1 of 100 of 1013
ChatGPT (7)0 of 70 of 7Not named

Two things stand out. First, Brand24 does better on our questions than most of the dedicated AI visibility vendors we have measured: Rankscale was not named at all, Peec and Otterly were each named on one engine. Brand24’s decade of listening coverage has earned it a place in the roundups the engines read. Second, across our full population of 220 completed answers about this category, brand24.com itself was cited twice, both in one Gemini answer; the pages that carried the other Brand24 mentions were third-party comparison and alternatives articles on other domains. The engines know Brand24 from what others wrote, which is exactly the mechanism its own add-on page describes when it says brand mentions are the top correlating factor in AI visibility.

09When to switch from Brand24 to a dedicated tracker, and when not to

Stay on Brand24 and add the module if the listening is what you pay for: PR coverage, sentiment across social and news, events detection, reports for stakeholders. Thirty prompts on four engines inside a dashboard you already open is a reasonable weekly check, and $99 is less than any second subscription plus the time to learn it. Ask Brand24 what more prompts or Claude cost, since the FAQ says to contact them.

Add a dedicated tracker alongside if AI answers have become a reporting line. Thirty prompts will not cover a category with several buying questions per persona, and a $125 Searchable or $80 Peec plan gives you 100 or 50 prompts on engines you choose. Keep Brand24 for the listening.

Switch entirely if you bought Brand24 for the AI tab. The r/AskMarketing thread is the cautionary case: a team using a listening tool for a job it was not built for, drowning in vendor noise. If your job is “what do the engines say about us and what do we change”, buy the tool built for that sentence. Ours ends the sentence with a fix drafted only from the citations the engines actually returned and a re-measurement after an indexing delay; the does-not-do page lists what it will not do, including the social listening Brand24 does well.

If AI answers are the job, buy the tool built for the sentence

Answer Radar asks ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude your buyers’ questions, stores every cited page and every fan-out search, ranks the gaps by evidence, drafts the fix from what the engines actually read, and re-measures. It produced the Brand24 numbers above. It does not do social listening, and this page says so.

11Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

How much does Brand24's AI Visibility add-on cost?+

$99 a month on top of an active Brand24 subscription, per brand24.com/llm-visibility read on 4 September 2026. The cheapest subscription is Individual at $249 a month, or $199 billed annually, so the lowest all-in price for AI answer tracking through Brand24 is $298 a month on an annual contract or $348 month to month. The add-on is listed as an add-on on Individual, Team, Pro and Business, and as included on Enterprise, which starts at $1,499 a month billed annually.

What does the Brand24 AI Visibility add-on track?+

Per its own FAQ on the day: four models, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overview and Gemini, with a limit of 30 prompts on the paid add-on and 5 on the trial. It reports a Brand Score built from mention frequency and position, share of voice against competitors, key prompts, and the sources the engines cite, and it can populate the prompt list with Semrush search volumes. It is powered by a product called Chatbeat and lives in the Brand24 sidebar under LLM Listening. Claude is not in the four; the add-on page says to contact Brand24 for more prompts or models.

Brand24 vs Searchable: which is better for AI mention tracking?+

Searchable if AI answers are the job. Its Pro plan is $125 a month for 100 prompts on ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Perplexity with 9,000 answers analysed, read on 4 September 2026, against Brand24's 30 prompts for $298 all-in. Searchable lists nine engines to choose from at onboarding including Claude, an Actions feature that turns gaps into tasks, and an MCP. Brand24 if you also need social and web listening across 25 million sources, sentiment, and PR reporting, and AI answers are one tab in a wider brand monitoring job.

Is Brand24 a good AI visibility tool?+

It is a good social listening tool with an AI visibility tab. G2 has it at 4.6 out of 5 on 359 reviews, 76 percent five-star, and its listening record is the reason. The AI add-on is narrow by its own description: 30 prompts, four engines, no Claude, and pricing that only makes sense on top of a listening plan you already wanted. A marketer in r/sociallistening said the LLM tracking has become part of their weekly routine; the same thread's replies were mostly other vendors, which tells you how contested the category is.

What do Brand24 users complain about?+

Noise and price, in that order. An r/MARKETINbuzz post listed the cons as lots of noise for common brand names, hit-or-miss sentiment, surface-level analytics, and price that jumps sharply as you track more keywords. An agency in r/AskMarketing trying to use it for B2B buyer research found 99 percent of results were vendors selling, not buyers venting. On the pricing page, the Individual plan updates every 12 hours, hourly starts at Team, and realtime at Pro, which is $499 a month.

Do AI engines mention Brand24?+

Yes, more than most AI visibility vendors we have measured. On our own 21 buying questions run on 4 September 2026, Brand24 was named in 2 of 3 admissible Perplexity answers and recommended in both, best position four; named in 2 of 15 Gemini answers and recommended in one; and named once in 10 Claude answers at position 13, not recommended. Across 220 completed answers in our wider population, brand24.com itself was cited twice, both in one Gemini answer; the other Brand24 mentions came from third-party roundups, not from Brand24's own pages.
