Free tool · Audience discovery
To find subreddits for your niche, search the problem your buyers have rather than your product category, then judge them on how recent posts actually perform rather than on size. Enter a keyword below to get matching subreddits with real subscriber counts, measured posts per day, and the median upvotes recent posts earned.

Enter a keyword above to find subreddits with real subscriber counts and activity levels.
Member count is the least useful number on the page. These four are better.
The best single predictor of whether your post gets seen. A community with 2M members where the typical post earns 3 upvotes is an archive with a member list attached.
Open the newest posts, not the top ones. If recent questions sit at zero comments, the top posts you were impressed by are survivorship bias.
Read the sidebar and the wiki. Some communities allow vendor answers with disclosure, some allow them only in weekly threads, and some ban them permanently on the first offense.
A subreddit about your category is not the same as a subreddit full of your buyers. Practitioners discussing tools and executives buying them rarely sit in the same place.
A list of subreddits is a starting point, not a channel. The work that produces pipeline is searching inside those communities for people actively asking for what you sell, and getting to those threads while they are still open.
That is a daily habit, and it is where most teams quietly stop after week two.
Two free tools cover the next steps: the Buyer Intent Query Builder composes the searches that surface those posts, and Best Time to Post tells you when a given community is actually awake.
For the same searches running continuously with intent scoring on every result, see Demand Intelligence.
Step 1
Enter the problem your buyers have or the category they shop in. Searching your own brand name finds nothing useful, because communities are organized around topics, not vendors.
Step 2
A two-million-member subreddit where the typical recent post earns 3 upvotes is a worse bet than a 40,000-member one where the typical post earns 40. Median upvotes and posts per day are measured from each subreddit's 50 most recent posts.
Step 3
Every subreddit has its own self-promotion policy, and many ban vendor participation outright regardless of how useful the reply is. Check the sidebar before you post anything.
Step 4
Export to CSV, then use the Buyer Intent Query Builder to search those specific communities for people actively asking for a product like yours.
When you outgrow this tool
This tool is free and complete on its own, with no account and no limits worth mentioning. Linkeddit is what you use when the job stops being a one-off and starts needing to run every week without you.
FAQ
Where the data comes from, why size is misleading, and what the rules usually say about vendors.
Search the problem your product solves rather than your product category, then judge the results on how recent posts perform rather than on member count. Reddit's own search returns the subreddit index but tells you nothing about whether posts there get any traction, which is the number that actually matters.
Subscriber counts come from Reddit's public subreddit search index. Posts per day and median upvotes are computed from the 50 most recent posts in each subreddit, read live. Reddit stopped exposing online-user counts, so this tool measures activity from real posts instead of reporting a number that no longer exists.
Usually not. Large general subreddits have heavy moderation, high post volume, and low median engagement per post. A smaller niche community where the typical post earns real upvotes gives you a better chance of a real conversation and a much better chance of your post surviving.
It is derived from measured posts per day: twenty or more a day is very active, five or more is active, at least one is moderate, and below that is quiet. Only the top eight results are measured, because each measurement is a live request. A dash in that column means not measured, not inactive.
Only where the rules allow it, and only if the post is useful on its own. Most communities remove drive-by promotion and some ban vendors entirely. The durable approach is answering questions where you genuinely know the answer and disclosing that you work on the product you mention.
Private and quarantined subreddits are excluded, and NSFW communities are filtered out by default. Reddit's own search index is also incomplete for very new or very small subreddits, so a community with a few hundred members may not appear at all. Results are capped at 25 per search.
Yes, with no account. Because it reads live Reddit data on every uncached search, it is rate limited per visitor to keep it available for everyone, but normal use will never hit the limit.
