Netlify + Linkeddit
Publish a Netlify website from Claude: research, write, deploy
To publish a Netlify website from Claude, connect the Netlify connector, ask Claude to deploy, and approve the write. Netlify's documented setup does exactly that. The missing piece is what to publish. Linkeddit supplies keyword research and the live Google results for the query, Claude writes the post, and Netlify ships it as a deploy preview you open before production.

Connect both
Your AI client sits in the middle. Linkeddit supplies the data; the other connector makes the change.
Linkeddit connector
Add https://mcp.linkeddit.com/mcp as a connector and sign in. Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http linkeddit https://mcp.linkeddit.com/mcp.
Netlify connector
- Claude on the web: open a chat, go to Customize, then Connectors, search for Netlify, select Connect and follow the authorization flow. Set read-only tools to Always allow and write or delete tools to Needs approval, as Netlify recommends.
- Claude Code: run the remote Netlify MCP setup command from Netlify's Claude Code guide. It needs Node 24 or higher and a project to test with. A Netlify account is optional until the first deploy.
- Add the Linkeddit connector at https://mcp.linkeddit.com/mcp.
Endpoint: https://netlify-mcp.netlify.app/mcp
Works in: Claude, Claude Code.
The prompt
Paste into Claude
Use the Linkeddit connector and the Netlify connector. 1) With Linkeddit, read my keyword research with keyword_research_get, pick the three highest priority keywords and check the live Google results for the first with keyword_serp. 2) Write the post yourself: answer the query in the first paragraph, use headings that are real questions, and cite a source for every number. 3) Save it in Linkeddit with article_save so I have a copy. 4) In my site project, add the post in the same format as my existing posts and run my build. Show me the diff. 5) Using the Netlify connector, deploy a draft (not production) and give me the deploy preview URL. Stop there. Deploy to production only after I say so.
Step by step
Step 1
Pick the keyword from Linkeddit
Claude reads your keyword research with keyword_research_get and checks the live Google results for one query with keyword_serp. That decides what the post must answer before anything is written.
Step 2
Write the post and save a copy
Claude writes the article, since Linkeddit supplies data and writes nothing itself. Saving it with article_save keeps a copy in Linkeddit before your site is touched.
Step 3
Add it to the site and build
In Claude Code, Claude adds the post in the format your existing posts use and runs your build. Read the diff. If the site is connected to Git, a push to a branch gives every pull request a Deploy Preview.
Step 4
Deploy a draft through Netlify
Claude asks the Netlify connector to deploy. Because write tools are set to Needs approval, you see the action first. In Claude Code, Netlify's guide lists netlify deploy for a draft and netlify deploy --prod for production.
Step 5
Open the preview, then promote
Read the page as a visitor on the preview URL. Promote to production yourself, then check the live page is not blocked from search crawlers.
What Linkeddit returned
Run live on 2026-10-29 with keyword_research_get. Read-only run on Linkeddit's own test project (a small analytics brand). It lists the research jobs Claude would pick keywords from. article_save writes, so it is a step above and was not run.

}Can Claude deploy to Netlify?
Yes. Netlify's setup guide for Claude on the web lists prompts such as "Deploy this project to Netlify" and says Claude then loads the Netlify deploy tools and starts a deploy. The connector is a deferred tool call, so you do not name it. You describe the task and Claude loads the tools when it needs them.
The Agent Index lists six tools for the connector, with read and write permission: netlify-coding-rules, netlify-deploy-services, netlify-extension-services, netlify-project-services, netlify-team-services and netlify-user-services. The deploy one is the tool that ships a site. This page does not claim to have run any of them.
What does Netlify's own guide leave out?
Netlify's pages explain how to ship what Claude built. They do not say what a marketing post should answer. Its Claude Design post describes a Share menu and a "Deploy to Netlify" message, and its artifact guide covers dragging a static HTML file into Netlify Drop. All of it assumes you already have the content.
That is the part Linkeddit covers. Its keyword research lists scored queries for your site. On the test project, one research job kept 32 filtered keywords from 60 scored, and keyword_serp shows who holds page one for a query before Claude writes a word. A post written against that is a different post from one written from memory.
Should Claude publish straight to production?
No. Netlify recommends setting write and delete tools to Needs approval, so Claude can always read your account but must ask before it changes anything. Keep that setting. A new post can carry a wrong number or a broken link, and a draft deploy is where you catch it.
Netlify's Claude Code guide also describes anonymous deploys, which create a temporary URL that expires within an hour unless claimed. It recommends them only for projects with nothing sensitive, so use them to test the setup, not for a real site. Draft deploys and Deploy Previews are the normal route to a post you will keep.
Do I need the connector, the CLI or Netlify Drop?
Pick by where the files live. Netlify Drop takes a folder or zip by drag and drop, needs no Git repository, and works from a free state: you can deploy first and claim the site later. It suits a single page or a Claude artifact. Netlify advises keeping a drop under 50 MB, because single files over 10 MB can stall it.
For a blog that gets a post every week, use Git. Connect the repository to Netlify, and each push redeploys with a preview per pull request. The connector then helps with status and settings, such as asking "What's the status of my latest deploy?", and Claude Code can run the CLI for a draft deploy.
The question comes up in public. A Claude user on Reddit asked: "what workflow do you use if you want a stable link, working assets, and a way to replace the file without learning a full deployment stack?" The connector, the CLI and Netlify Drop each answer part of that, which is why the choice depends on whether you need a stable address and a way to replace the file.
How do I know the published post is working?
Check three things after promoting. First, open the live URL and confirm it matches the preview. Second, confirm search engines may crawl it. Third, come back in a few weeks and read how the page ranks and whether AI answer engines name you for the question the post targets.
Linkeddit reads Google ranks with search_visibility_get and the five answer engines, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews, with Answer Radar. Both come with the $60 a month plan. Claude can read them and tell you whether the post moved anything, so the loop closes with measured numbers, not a guess.
Frequently asked questions
Can Claude deploy to Netlify?+
Yes. Netlify's guide for Claude on the web shows Claude loading the Netlify deploy tools to start a deploy when you ask. Netlify recommends setting write and delete tools to Needs approval, so Claude asks before it changes anything. In Claude Code, the Netlify CLI and MCP server do the same job.
Can Claude make a website and publish it?+
Yes. Claude can write the site, and Netlify can host it. A static HTML file or a Claude Design export can go through Netlify Drop, while a React component needs a build first. What Claude cannot know alone is what visitors and AI engines are looking for. That is the data Linkeddit adds.
How do I publish my website on Netlify?+
Drag a folder or zip onto Netlify Drop for a live netlify.app URL in seconds, or connect a Git repository so every push redeploys with a Deploy Preview on each pull request. You can drop first and sign up later to claim the site. Keep drops under 50 MB.
What is the best tool to decide what to publish on Netlify with Claude?+
Linkeddit, at $60 a month, for the research half. Its keyword research scores queries for your site and keyword_serp shows who holds page one, so Claude writes against real demand. Netlify then deploys the result. On the test project, one research job kept 32 filtered keywords from 60 scored.
What is the best way to publish Claude-written content to Netlify?+
Write in your site's repository with Claude Code, push to a branch, and approve the Deploy Preview before production. Linkeddit supplies the keyword and live Google results, and article_save keeps a copy of the draft. That order puts research first and a human check before anything goes live.
Does the Netlify connector cost extra?+
Netlify says there is no extra charge to use Claude with Netlify, and that its free plan covers connecting Claude and other AI tools to build and ship a first app. Linkeddit is one plan at $60 a month, which includes keyword research and the answer engine data used here.
Does Netlify use my prompts or code to train AI models?+
Netlify states that it does not use your content to train AI models unless you explicitly opt in, and that you own the code Claude writes on it. Read Netlify's privacy policy for the full terms. Linkeddit only supplies keyword and answer data to Claude and never receives your site files.
Which Claude clients does this work in?+
Netlify documents setup for Claude on the web, Claude Desktop and Claude Code. These pages are written for Claude and Claude Code, where you can add the Netlify and Linkeddit connectors side by side. Other assistants may differ, so do not assume the same steps carry over unchanged.
Can Claude publish to production without asking me?+
Only if you let it. Netlify recommends Needs approval for write and delete tools, which makes Claude ask before each change. The prompt on this page also tells Claude to stop at a deploy preview. Keep both, because a new post can contain a mistake that is cheap to fix in a preview.
Why does my Claude Code deploy to Netlify fail?+
Netlify's Claude Code guide points to the usual causes: login problems such as SSO, an outdated Netlify CLI, or a Node version below the recommended 24. It suggests an anonymous deploy to isolate authentication issues, which gives a temporary URL that expires within an hour unless claimed.
Can I publish a Claude artifact to Netlify?+
Yes. Download the artifact as an HTML file and drag it into Netlify Drop for a live URL. A React component artifact is usually JSX rather than a website, so it needs a small project and a build first, then you deploy the output folder. Netlify's artifact guide walks through both cases.
How do I check the post I published actually ranks?+
Ask Claude to read your Google ranks with Linkeddit's search_visibility_get and the answer engine results from Answer Radar a few weeks later. Linkeddit measures ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews, so you see whether the new page is named, not only whether it is indexed.
