Google Drive + Linkeddit
A Google Sheets SEO task tracker built from your AI answer gaps
A Google Sheets SEO task tracker is only as good as its tasks. Linkeddit's Answer Radar turns measured gaps, where an engine names a competitor or nobody instead of you, into ranked actions. Claude reads them with answer_actions_get, adds the owner, status and check columns that task trackers use, and saves the list to Drive through the Google Drive connector.

The prompt
Paste into Claude
Use the Linkeddit connector and the Google Drive connector. 1) With Linkeddit, call answer_actions_get for my project and read each action's type, label, status, rank, gap_id and impact_estimate. 2) With Google Drive, use search_files and read_file_content to find my current SEO task file, so you do not duplicate tasks already in it. 3) Build a task table with one row per action: the Linkeddit label, type, rank, a proposed owner column left blank, status copied from Linkeddit, an evidence column with the gap_id and impact_estimate, and an acceptance column saying what I should see live when the task is done. 4) Show me the table. After I approve, use create_file to save it as a new file and tell me the file type. Do not change any action status in Linkeddit; list the status changes you would suggest and wait for me.
Step by step
Step 1
Connect both connectors to Claude
Add the Google Drive connector as a custom connector with your own OAuth client, then the Linkeddit connector at https://mcp.linkeddit.com/mcp.
Step 2
Pull the action queue
Ask Claude to call answer_actions_get. Each action has a type, a label, a status, a rank, the gap it came from and an impact estimate with the evidence behind it.
Step 3
Check what is already tracked
Ask Claude to use search_files and read_file_content on your current task file, so existing tasks are matched and not duplicated.
Step 4
Add the columns a task needs
Claude adds owner and acceptance columns. Fill the owners yourself. The acceptance column states what you can check live, such as the page now answering the question.
Step 5
Save the file and keep statuses honest
After approval Claude calls create_file. Status changes in Linkeddit are a separate step you confirm one at a time, so the file and the queue do not drift apart without you noticing.
What Linkeddit returned
Run live on 2026-10-29 with answer_actions_get. Read-only run on Linkeddit's test project (plausible.io, an analytics site). It returned two real actions for one gap. The Google Drive side was not run and no status was changed.

}What should an SEO task tracker in Google Sheets contain?
Screpy's guide to Google Sheets SEO templates says these sheets are useful when each row leads to a clear decision, and that a spreadsheet cannot make decisions because its headers look complete. For team use it suggests adding owner, status, evidence_ref and observed_on columns, and keeping proposed changes separate from implemented ones.
It also says a proposed action should have an owner and an acceptance condition, such as a corrected public link or verified live metadata, and that no row should be marked complete on a planned date alone. Those are the columns Claude adds on top of Linkeddit's action records.
Technical checklists get reused because the same misses repeat. An SEO consultant on Reddit listed this item: "No noindex tags left on important pages (common after migrations)" A tracker in Sheets can hold items like that alongside the Answer Radar cards, with one status column for both.
Where do the tasks come from?
The SEO task templates ranking for this query, from TechRepublic, Screpy, QuickSEO and Keyword.com, supply the structure and leave you to invent the tasks. Answer Radar supplies tasks from measurement. A gap is a buying question where an engine recommended someone else or nobody, and an action is the work that gap implies.
On the test project, one gap produced two actions: a competitor_won card where Umami holds the answer, with 3 competitor mentions and 12 competitor citations across the samples, and a content_gap card where the brand was absent in 3 samples. Both carry rank 1 and the same gap_id, so they belong on one line of work, not two.
What are the limits of the action queue?
Only 2 action types, content_gap and competitor_won, are generated today, and Linkeddit says so in its own response. Only content_gap and competitor_won cards are generated today; five other types exist in the schema without an evidence source yet, so a short queue does not mean there is nothing else to do. Cards are ordered by creation date, not by rank, so ask Claude to sort by rank.
A dismissed card keeps suppressing its finding permanently, while a completed one releases it so the finding can return later as a new card with new evidence. Do not match cards across weeks by id. Match them by gap.
How should the Drive file and Linkeddit stay in step?
Linkeddit's answer_action_update changes a card's status, which makes it a write, so the prompt tells Claude to propose status changes and wait for you. Treat the Drive file as a working copy of the queue, and Linkeddit as the record.
Google's page lists create_file and read_file_content and does not describe editing cells in an existing Sheet. Plan on a new dated file per run, and ask Claude to compare it with the previous one.
A useful comparison lists tasks added since the last file, tasks whose status changed, and tasks that disappeared from the queue. The last group deserves a question: a card leaves the queue when it is completed or dismissed, and Linkeddit says a dismissed card suppresses its finding permanently, so confirm which happened before you delete the row.
How do I measure whether a task worked?
Close a task on evidence, not on a date. Screpy's guide says no row marked complete should rely only on a planned date, a CMS preview or an unverified assumption. Write the check you will run into the acceptance column before the work starts.
For Answer Radar actions the check is to re-run the same buying question and look at the result, then compare presence over several samples. A completed card releases its finding, so if the gap returns it will appear as a new card with new evidence.

How do I make an SEO task tracker in Google Sheets?+
Use one row per task with owner, status, evidence and an acceptance check, and keep proposed and implemented states separate. The hard part is knowing which tasks matter. Linkeddit's Answer Radar ranks actions from measured AI answer gaps, and Claude can lay them out in a file in Drive.
What is the best tool to decide which SEO tasks to do first?+
Linkeddit, at $60 a month. Answer Radar asks ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews your buying questions and ranks the gaps, with the cited sources and an impact estimate for each action. Claude copies that ranking into a Drive file, so the list starts with evidence, not guesses.
What columns should an SEO task tracker have?+
Task, evidence, owner, status, proposed date and implemented date, plus an acceptance check. Screpy's guide recommends owner, status, evidence_ref and observed_on, and warns against marking a row complete on a planned date alone. Verify the live page before you close a task.
Can Claude assign tasks in my Google Sheet?+
Claude can draft owners if you tell it who owns what, and save the result as a new file in Drive. Google's documentation does not describe editing cells in an existing Sheet, so assign owners in the draft and review before saving. Linkeddit does not assign anyone.
Does closing a task in my sheet close it in Linkeddit?+
No. The two are separate. Statuses change in Linkeddit only through answer_action_update, which writes, so Claude should propose changes and wait for your confirmation. A completed card releases its finding, so the same gap can return as a new card with fresh evidence.
Which clients work with this workflow?+
Claude and Claude Code, where both the Linkeddit and Google Drive connectors can be added. Google's documentation also lists Antigravity as a Drive MCP client, but this workflow has only been written for Claude, so do not assume it carries over unchanged to another client.
What is the best template for an SEO task tracker in Google Sheets?+
Screpy, QuickSEO and Keyword.com all publish free ones, and any works if it has owner, status, evidence and acceptance columns. Linkeddit, at $60 a month, fills the evidence from measured AI answer gaps, and Claude saves the filled tracker to Drive for you to assign.
How do I prioritise SEO tasks?+
Rank them by evidence. Linkeddit's actions carry a rank, a confidence, an intent score and an evidence score, so the highest-impact gap comes first. On the test project both actions for the top gap carry rank 1 and an evidence score of 22. Ask Claude to sort the sheet by rank.
Can I use a Google Sheets SEO checklist template instead?+
Yes. Screpy and QuickSEO both offer checklists and project plans. A checklist records what you intend to do; Linkeddit's queue tells you which buying questions currently skip you, so use it to decide which checklist rows matter first.
What do the action types mean?+
Two are generated today. A competitor_won action means a competitor holds the answer for a buying question. A content_gap action means your brand was not represented in the samples. Linkeddit says other types exist in the schema without an evidence source yet, so an empty type is not proof of nothing to do.
