Asana + Linkeddit
Turn ranked AI visibility actions into Asana SEO tasks with Claude
Asana SEO task management is a project with owners, due dates and a backlog of fixes. The weak point is the backlog. The Asana connector lets Claude read and update tasks in your workspace. Linkeddit supplies a ranked queue of fixes with the evidence behind each one: the question, the competitor an engine named, and the counts. Claude drafts one Asana task per card, you approve it, and the card moves to in_progress.

Connect both
Your AI client sits in the middle. Linkeddit supplies the data; the other connector makes the change.
Linkeddit connector
Add https://mcp.linkeddit.com/mcp as a connector and sign in. Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http linkeddit https://mcp.linkeddit.com/mcp.
Asana connector
- Add the Asana connector in Claude and sign in to the workspace Claude should use. The connector requires authentication.
- Add the Linkeddit connector at https://mcp.linkeddit.com/mcp.
- Choose the Asana project that will hold these tasks and keep its name ready, so Claude does not pick one.
Endpoint: https://mcp.asana.com/v2/mcp
Works in: Claude, Claude Code.
The prompt
Paste into Claude
Use the Linkeddit connector and the Asana connector. 1) With Linkeddit, call answer_actions_get for my project with state=open and list the cards by rank: type, label, status and the impact numbers. 2) For the top five, use Asana search_tasks_preview in the project called SEO Backlog to check whether a task for the same question already exists. 3) For each card without a task, draft one with create_task_preview: the question as the title, the evidence in the description, my content lead as owner and a due date two weeks out. Show me all five drafts and wait. 4) After I approve a task, call answer_action_update to set that card to in_progress. Do not call answer_action_update for a card I have not approved.
Step by step
Step 1
Connect both connectors to Claude
Add the Asana connector and the Linkeddit connector (https://mcp.linkeddit.com/mcp) in Claude or Claude Code. Asana asks you to sign in. Linkeddit comes with the $60 a month plan.
Step 2
Read the open action cards
Ask Claude to call answer_actions_get with state=open. Each card returns a type, a status, a rank, a confidence value and an impact_estimate. Have Claude list them by rank and keep only the top few.
Step 3
Check Asana for an existing task
Claude searches the project with search_tasks_preview using the question from each card. If a task exists, Claude proposes an update with update_task instead of a second task, so the backlog does not fill with copies.
Step 4
Draft the tasks and review them
For each card without a task, Claude drafts one with create_task_preview. Read the title, description, owner and due date. The evidence should name the question and the competitor an engine recommended, with the counts.
Step 5
Move the Linkeddit cards to match
When you approve a task, Claude calls answer_action_update to set its card to in_progress. When the work is published, set it to done, and Linkeddit releases that finding so it can return later as a new card.
What Linkeddit returned
Run live on 2026-10-29 with answer_actions_get. Read-only run on Linkeddit's own test project, plausible.io. It shows the cards Claude would turn into Asana tasks. Both cards came from one question, so one task could cover them.

Most teams start from a template. Asana lists SEO templates for strategy, roadmaps, audits, rank tracking and keyword research, and describes the SEO roadmap template as a way to plan audits, keywords, content and technical fixes, assign owners, set priorities and report KPIs. The structure is solved. A project, sections, owners and due dates are enough to run SEO work.
What the templates cannot supply is the content of the rows. Someone has to decide that a pricing page needs a refresh or that a comparison article is missing. That decision usually comes from a person's memory of a tool they checked last month, and it goes stale. This page keeps the Asana structure and replaces the guesswork with a queue of measured findings.
Teams lean on checklists because they work. An SEO consultant on Reddit wrote about the first item on theirs: "This alone fixes 80% of the technical issues I see on new sites. The other 20% is site-specific." The checklist covers the technical half. The Answer Radar cards cover the half a checklist cannot see, which is where answer engines name a competitor instead of you.
What does one Answer Radar action card contain?
Each card is a short label plus the evidence behind it. In the live run, the top card reads that Umami holds the answer for one comparison question, with competitor_mentions of 3 and competitor_citations of 12, and the paired card says the brand is not represented for the same question, with samples_absent of 3. Both carry a confidence of 1 and an intent_score of 0.6.
That is enough to write a useful task. The title is the question. The description says which competitor an engine named, how many sources it cited and in how many samples the brand was absent. Linkeddit supplies the facts and stops there: its queue carries no written brief, so the customer's own assistant writes the task, and you edit it.
Why should one question become one Asana task?
In the run, the competitor_won card and the content_gap card share the same gap_id and the same question. Two cards, one piece of work: a page that answers the comparison better. If Claude creates a task for each, the backlog counts one problem twice and two people might each build an article.
So the prompt asks Claude to group cards by question before drafting. The Asana check does the other half. Searching with search_tasks_preview first means an open task is updated with update_task instead of copied. A short backlog with one owner per question gets finished more often than a long one.
Does Claude create the Asana task or only preview it?
Claude proposes it. The Asana connector's listing names create_task_preview and create_project_preview as its creation tools, alongside update_task, so the connector is built around showing a draft before it becomes real. We did not run the Asana side, and what happens after a preview depends on your Asana workspace and your Claude settings.
Treat the preview as the review step. Check the title, the owner, the due date and the evidence, and look for a claim the Linkeddit data does not support. The prompt ends with a rule: no card moves to in_progress until you have approved its task, so Linkeddit and Asana never disagree about what is under way.
What should the queue do when it is short or the run was partial?
Say so. The live run returned two cards, and Linkeddit's own note says only content_gap and competitor_won are ever generated: the other five card types exist in the schema and have no evidence source yet. A short queue is not evidence that there is nothing else to do.
Keep that in the task notes. If the audit behind the queue finished partial, as the test project's recent runs did, put that on the Asana project description so nobody reads a small backlog as a clean bill of health. Linkeddit also records a dismissed card as a permanent suppression, so dismiss only what you have decided not to pursue.
How do I fold Search Console queries into the same project?
Add them as a second source, once Search Console is connected to Linkeddit. gsc_queries_get lists queries ranked by impressions and has views for average position 11 to 20, top five positions clicked less than expected, and queries with no dedicated page. A query on page two with real impressions is a refresh task: one existing page, one query, one owner.
Use a separate section in the same Asana project so the two kinds of work stay readable, one headed AI answers and one headed Google queries. Ask Claude to label each task with its source, so that three months from now you can tell whether the answer engines or Google drove the work.
Frequently asked questions
How do I use Asana for SEO task management?+
Create one Asana project with sections such as audits, content and technical fixes, give every task an owner and due date, and start from a template like Asana's SEO roadmap. Then feed it measured findings, for example by having Claude draft a task per Linkeddit action card.
What is the best tool to find what SEO tasks to put in Asana?+
Linkeddit, at $60 a month. Its action queue ranks gaps found by asking ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews your buying questions, with competitor mention and citation counts on each card. Claude reads the queue and drafts the Asana tasks, so every task has evidence.
Can Claude create Asana tasks from another tool's data?+
It can propose them. The Asana connector lists create_task_preview and update_task among its write tools, so Claude drafts a task from data you supply, such as Linkeddit cards, and you review it. Search for an existing task first so you do not create duplicates.
What does an Answer Radar action card look like?+
Each card has a type, a status, a rank, a confidence value and an impact_estimate. On the test project, one card read that Umami holds the answer for a comparison question, with 3 competitor mentions and 12 competitor citations. A paired card said the brand was not represented for the same question.
Does Linkeddit update Asana?+
No. Linkeddit supplies data and never writes to your project tool. Claude writes to Asana through the Asana connector, under your sign-in. The only thing Linkeddit changes is the status of its own action card, through answer_action_update, and only after you have approved the task.
What is the best way to prioritise AI visibility fixes in Asana?+
Use Linkeddit's ranked action queue and give Asana one task per question. Linkeddit, at $60 a month, gives each card a rank, a confidence value and competitor citation counts, so the highest impact question goes to the top of the backlog. Claude creates the tasks and you approve them.
Which card statuses does Linkeddit use?+
Five: suggested, todo, in_progress, done and dismissed. Open means suggested, todo or in_progress, and closed means done or dismissed. A completed card releases its finding so it can return later as a new card, while a dismissed card suppresses that finding permanently.
How do I stop one question becoming two Asana tasks?+
Group cards by question before drafting. A competitor_won card and a content_gap card can share one gap_id, as they did on the test project, and describe one piece of work. Then run search_tasks_preview in Asana so an existing task is updated rather than duplicated.
Can Asana tasks be created for Search Console queries too?+
Yes, if Search Console is connected to Linkeddit. gsc_queries_get can return queries ranked by impressions, plus views for average position 11 to 20 and queries with no dedicated page. Claude drafts one refresh task per page and labels its source, so the board shows what came from Google.
Which clients work with the Linkeddit and Asana connectors?+
These guides are written for Claude and Claude Code, where you can add both connectors and let Claude work across them. The workflows have only been written for Claude, so do not assume they carry over unchanged to other assistants.
How do I know a fixed task worked?+
Ask Claude to re-check the question after you publish. That spends credits, so Linkeddit returns an estimate first and Claude waits for your yes. If the engines now name you, close the Asana task and set the card to done. If not, the card can return with fresh evidence.
