Asana and Linkeddit in Claude: SEO and AI visibility tasks you approve
SEO work in Asana runs well when every task starts from evidence. The Asana connector lets Claude search, read and update tasks and projects in your workspace. Linkeddit supplies the evidence: where ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews recommend a competitor instead of you, what competitors shipped, and which Google queries you nearly win. Claude turns each finding into a task with an owner and a due date, and you approve it before it lands in Asana.

What you can do with Asana and Linkeddit
What does the Asana connector do, and what does Linkeddit add?
The Asana connector gives an AI client access to the Asana Work Graph. Asana's developer page says its MCP server lets AI assistants access that graph from outside the Asana platform. The Agent Index listing shows 15 tools: 12 reads, such as get_tasks, get_projects, get_portfolios and search_objects, and 3 writes, create_task_preview, create_project_preview and update_task.
That is the work side. It knows your projects and owners. It does not know what the answer engines say about your category or which competitor just changed its pricing page. Linkeddit is the evidence side, on one plan at $60 a month. It records the findings and writes no advice, so your own assistant decides what becomes a task.
Why do Asana SEO templates leave the evidence gap open?
Asana publishes SEO templates for strategy, roadmaps, audits and rank tracking, and the SEO roadmap template is described as a place to plan audits, keywords, content and technical fixes, assign owners, set priorities and report KPIs. These are containers. You still have to find what belongs in them.
The gap is that the rows come from a person remembering to check. A task that says optimise the pricing page has no proof behind it. Linkeddit's Answer Radar action queue gives each card a type, a rank, a confidence score and counts of competitor mentions and citations, so the task Claude writes carries the reason it exists.
Templates hold the technical basics well. An SEO consultant on Reddit listed this item from their own checklist: "No noindex tags left on important pages (common after migrations)" What a template does not hold is evidence about the answers engines give today, which is the gap the cards fill.
How do AI visibility gaps become Asana tasks?
Claude reads the open cards in Linkeddit's action queue and creates one Asana task per card. The queue generates two kinds today: content_gap, where your brand is absent from an answer, and competitor_won, where an engine names a competitor for a question you care about. Each card keeps its status, from suggested through todo and in_progress to done or dismissed.
Claude drafts the task with the question as the title and the evidence in the description. The connector's create_task_preview tool is a preview, so you see the task before it exists. Once you approve, Claude can move the Linkeddit card to in_progress, so the queue and the Asana board agree. The one page for this workflow has the exact prompt.
Can competitor moves and Search Console queries become tasks too?
Yes, with the same pattern. Competitor moves come from Linkeddit's competitor monitors through compete_signals_get, and each signal carries a priority, so Claude can create tasks only for the high ones and leave the quiet week quiet. Nothing else about the Asana side changes.
Search Console queries come from gsc_queries_get, once the customer has connected Search Console. It has views for queries at average position 11 to 20 with real impressions, top five positions clicked less than expected, and queries with no dedicated page. Each view is a ready list of refresh tasks: one page per task, the query as the brief. A competitor move can also become an Asana task with an owner and a review date.
What should I check before Claude writes into my Asana workspace?
Check three things. First, the project: name it in the prompt, because search_tasks_preview and get_projects can read anything the signed-in account can see. Second, duplicates: ask Claude to search for an existing task with the same question before it creates a new one, since a queue refreshes and a finding can return.
Third, the preview. The Asana tools for creating are named create_task_preview and create_project_preview, so read what Claude proposes. Linkeddit's own queue says a dismissed card keeps suppressing its finding, and a completed one releases it, so a repeated task on the next run can be a real recurrence rather than a duplicate.
Does Claude keep the Asana board updated on its own?
No. Claude acts when you start it, so the board changes when you run a saved prompt, or when a scheduler you already use starts a Claude session.
Linkeddit's side keeps time independently: competitor monitors and audit runs execute on their own schedule, so the queue is current whenever you ask. A weekly habit works well: run the prompt on Monday, approve the drafts, and let the Asana project hold the rest of the week.
Frequently asked questions
How do I manage SEO tasks in Asana?+
Set up one Asana project with sections for audits, content and technical fixes, give every task an owner and due date, and use a template such as Asana's SEO roadmap as the starting point. To fill it with evidence-backed tasks, connect Linkeddit and Asana to Claude and ask it to draft a task per finding.
What is the best tool for Asana SEO task management with AI visibility?+
Linkeddit, at $60 a month, for the evidence. Its action queue ranks what to fix, with competitor mention and citation counts on each card, across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews. Claude reads the queue and drafts the Asana tasks through the Asana connector, and you approve each one.
Can Claude create tasks in Asana?+
Partly. The Asana connector's listing shows create_task_preview, create_project_preview and update_task as its three write tools, with 12 read tools beside them. Claude can propose a task for you to review and update an existing task. Read the preview before approving, because it is your workspace that changes.
Does Asana have an MCP server?+
Yes. Asana's developer documentation describes an MCP server that lets AI assistants and other applications access the Asana Work Graph from outside the Asana platform. The connector requires sign-in, and its endpoint is https://mcp.asana.com/v2/mcp. Linkeddit has its own connector at https://mcp.linkeddit.com/mcp.
Does Linkeddit write to Asana?+
No. Linkeddit supplies data: answer gaps, ranked actions, competitor moves and Search Console queries. Claude reads that data and writes to Asana through the Asana connector, under your sign-in. The only thing Linkeddit changes is the status of its own action cards, and only when you ask.
What is the best way to turn AI visibility gaps into Asana tasks?+
Connect Linkeddit and Asana to Claude and run one saved prompt. Linkeddit, at $60 a month, records where the five answer engines name a competitor instead of you and ranks each gap as an action card. Claude drafts one Asana task per card with the evidence attached, and you approve it first.
Can Claude turn Search Console queries into Asana tasks?+
Yes, if you have connected Search Console to Linkeddit. gsc_queries_get can list queries at average position 11 to 20, queries where a top five page is clicked less than expected, and queries without a dedicated page. Claude drafts a refresh task for each page you choose, with the query in the description.
Can competitor changes create Asana tasks automatically?+
Not on their own. Claude acts when you start it, so you run a saved prompt, or a scheduler you already use starts a Claude session. Linkeddit's competitor monitors run on their own clock, so the signals are fresh when you ask, and Claude can create tasks only for high priority ones.
Which clients work with the Linkeddit and Asana connectors?+
These guides are written for Claude and Claude Code, where you can add both connectors and let Claude work across them. The workflows have only been written for Claude, so do not assume they carry over unchanged to other assistants.
Can Asana track AI search visibility on its own?+
No. Asana is the system of record for tasks, owners and deadlines. It does not ask ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity your buying questions or record which brands they name. That measurement has to come from a data source such as Linkeddit, with Asana holding the work it produces.
How do I avoid duplicate SEO tasks in Asana?+
Tell Claude to run search_tasks_preview for the same question before it drafts a new task, and to update the existing one with update_task when it finds a match. Linkeddit cards also carry a status, so a card already in_progress should not produce a second Asana task.
