Zapier + Linkeddit
Send an AI visibility alert through Zapier, once Linkeddit confirms the change
A Zapier AI visibility alert is a message, sent through a Zap or a Zapier MCP action, saying that AI answers about your category moved. Linkeddit measures the movement: it re-checks the buying questions after you publish a change and reports the observed delta. The Zapier connector lets Claude send the alert to Slack, email or a sheet. Claude does not run on a timer, so you start the check each time.

Connect both
Your AI client sits in the middle. Linkeddit supplies the data; the other connector makes the change.
Linkeddit connector
Add https://mcp.linkeddit.com/mcp as a connector and sign in. Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http linkeddit https://mcp.linkeddit.com/mcp.
Zapier connector
- Add the Zapier connector in Claude and sign in with OAuth. In Zapier MCP, add only the one action you want Claude to use, for example Send Channel Message in Slack.
- Add the Linkeddit connector at https://mcp.linkeddit.com/mcp.
- Pick one private channel for the first alert, so a mistake lands in front of you and nobody else.

The prompt
Paste into Claude
Use the Linkeddit connector and the Zapier connector. 1) With Linkeddit, call answer_verify_get with kind page for my project and list each page watch with its changed_on date, measure_on date, status and latest_verdict. 2) For any watch with status measured, report the verdict word exactly as returned and the date it was measured. If a verdict is insufficient_data, say so; do not call it an improvement. 3) For any watch still waiting, say not measured yet and give its measure_on date. 4) If I ask for a fresh re-check, call answer_verify_start only to get the credit estimate and show it to me; do not start anything until I say yes. 5) Write one alert of at most 6 lines, show it to me, and after my yes send it with the Zapier Send Channel Message action to my test channel only.
Step by step
Step 1
Connect both connectors to Claude
Add the Zapier connector and the Linkeddit connector (https://mcp.linkeddit.com/mcp) in Claude or Claude Code. In Zapier MCP, expose only the action you will use. Zapier's documentation says each successful tool call uses two tasks from your plan. Linkeddit comes with the $60 a month plan.
Step 2
Read the page watches
Ask Claude to call answer_verify_get for the page watches. Each one returns the page, the day you changed it, the day it will be measured, a status and, once measured, a verdict. Nothing here spends credits.
Step 3
Pass the verdict through unchanged
Verdicts are improved, declined, flat or insufficient_data. Linkeddit states that this is observed movement and does not attribute it to your change. Tell Claude to use the exact word, and to say not measured yet for a watch that is still waiting.
Step 4
Ask for an estimate before any re-check
If you want a fresh check on the questions your change targeted, Claude calls answer_verify_start to get an estimate first. A re-check spends credits, so Claude must show you the figure and wait for your yes.
Step 5
Approve the alert, then send it through Zapier
Claude writes a short alert, shows it, and after your yes calls the Zapier action to post it to your private channel. Move the action to a shared channel once you trust the wording.
What Linkeddit returned
Run live on 2026-10-29 with answer_verify_get. Read-only run on Linkeddit's own test project, using kind page to list page watches. Only answer_verify_get ran; answer_verify_start was not called, because it spends credits. One watch had been measured and returned insufficient_data, which is the sentence a good alert should carry.

Most AI visibility alerts on Zapier come from the visibility tool's own Zapier app. Scrunch's integration has two triggers: New Signal, which fires when Scrunch detects a signal, and a Custom Signal threshold that fires when a metric crosses a limit you set. It needs a Scrunch API key and an active Zapier account.
LLM Pulse lists seven instant triggers, including New Brand Mention, New Competitor Mention and Negative Sentiment Detected, delivered by signed webhooks so Zaps fire within seconds. Its API key is available on the Scale plan and above. A third result for this query, from getintel.ai, argues that Zapier moves visibility data around and does not measure it, and that matches how the pieces divide.
Founders describe the problem as invisibility. "Feels like losing a channel I cant even see," wrote a startup founder on Reddit. An alert that fires when a measured result changes is one way to make the channel visible.
What is different about alerting from Linkeddit through Claude?
The alert is about whether a change you made moved the answers, not about each mention as it happens. Linkeddit's page watches record the day you changed a page and a date to measure, then report a verdict from Search Console numbers in two equal windows either side of the change. It states the result is an observed delta and does not attribute it to the change.
There is a trade. The tools above fire automatically, and this does not. Claude is started by you, so it is a checked, on-demand alert. In return, it carries a verdict with its caveat, and you maintain no extra Zapier app.
What should the alert say when the result is insufficient_data?
It should say exactly that. On Linkeddit's test project, the watch on linkeddit.com/answer-engine-optimization was measured on 2026-10-29 and returned insufficient_data, seven days after the change on 2026-10-20. An alert that rounded this up to improved would be wrong, and the team would learn to distrust the next one.
A watch that is still waiting is different. Linkeddit's reports are empty until the follow-up finishes, and empty means not measured yet, not no change. Two watches on the test project were waiting for 2026-11-19, 21 days after their change on 2026-10-27, and the alert for them should say so.
How much does the alert cost?
Two meters run. Zapier's documentation says each successful MCP tool call uses two tasks from your Zapier plan and that failed calls do not count, so one Slack post is two tasks. Linkeddit's reads, including answer_verify_get, spend no credits.
A fresh re-check is the one step that spends Linkeddit credits, which is why the prompt calls answer_verify_start only for the estimate and stops. Zapier also says sharing a server needs a Team or Enterprise plan, so a solo setup can use one personal server and send to a private channel.
What can go wrong with the Zapier side?
Scope is the first risk. Zapier MCP can take real actions across 9,000+ apps and 40,000+ actions, so a loose server lets Claude do more than post an alert. Add only the one action you need, and name that action in the prompt. Zapier states that calls run under workspace access controls and audit history, which gives you a record of what ran.
Client support is the second. Zapier's documentation says the client must support Streamable HTTP and that Server-Sent Events are not supported. Claude connects over the standard OAuth sign-in, but check any other client before you rely on it.
The third risk is volume. Zapier's documentation gives the example of acting on something you are already discussing, and that suits an alert: Claude already holds the verdict and the dates, so it can write the message without you restating them. Send one alert per check, not one per page, so your channel reads as a short status line and the two tasks per call stay a small number.
Frequently asked questions
How do I set up AI visibility alerts in Zapier?+
Pick a tool with a Zapier app, such as Scrunch or LLM Pulse, create a Zap with its trigger and choose an action such as a Slack post. Or connect Linkeddit and Zapier to Claude, read the measured verdict, and have Claude send the alert. The second route is started by you.
What is the best tool for AI visibility alerts?+
Linkeddit, at $60 a month, if you want a measured verdict. It records which brands ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews name for your buying questions, and reports whether a published change moved them, with a plain caveat that it shows movement, not cause. Claude delivers it through Zapier.
What is the best way to know if a content change moved AI answers?+
Use Linkeddit's page watches. Linkeddit, at $60 a month, records the day you changed a page, measures it on a set date, and returns a verdict such as improved or insufficient_data. Claude passes the exact verdict into a Zapier alert, so the message states what was measured and when.
Does Zapier have native AI visibility tracking?+
No evidence of one turned up. A search result for this topic says Zapier moves visibility data around and does not measure it, and Zapier's MCP documentation describes actions across apps, not measurement. You need a tool that records what the engines answer, and Zapier then delivers the result.
Can Claude send a Slack message through Zapier?+
Yes. Zapier's documentation gives Send Channel Message in Slack as an example action. You add the action to your Zapier MCP server, and Claude calls it. Each successful call uses two tasks from your Zapier plan, so batch your findings into one message.
Is the alert instant?+
No. Claude works when you start it, so this is a checked, on-demand alert, not a trigger. Scrunch and LLM Pulse fire from their own triggers. The Linkeddit page watches measure on a fixed date, such as 7 or 21 days after your change, so the verdict is ready when that date passes.
Does reading verification results cost credits?+
No. answer_verify_get is a read and spends no Linkeddit credits. Starting a fresh re-check does. Linkeddit returns an estimate first, and the prompt on this page tells Claude to show you the figure and wait for your yes before anything runs. Zapier tasks are a separate meter.
Which clients work with the Linkeddit and Zapier connectors?+
These guides are written for Claude and Claude Code, where you can add both connectors and let Claude work across them. Zapier's documentation lists other MCP clients, but these workflows have only been written for Claude, so do not assume they carry over unchanged.
Why did my alert say insufficient_data?+
Because the Search Console numbers in the two windows either side of your change were not enough to compare. On Linkeddit's test project, the watch measured on 2026-10-29 returned that verdict. It is not a failure. Wait for more data, or measure a page that already draws impressions.
How do I keep Claude from sending an alert to the wrong place?+
Expose only one action on your Zapier MCP server and point it at a private test channel. Then require your yes in the prompt before the send. Zapier says calls run under workspace access controls and audit history, so you can also check afterwards what Claude actually ran.
