HyperFrames with Claude: short videos from real competitor and AI visibility data
The HyperFrames connector lets Claude build and render a video from a plain-language brief. It is an open source tool from HeyGen that turns HTML into video, and its hosted connector exposes two tools, compose and render_video. It brings no data of its own. Linkeddit supplies the facts: weekly competitor moves and where ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews recommend a competitor instead of you. Claude writes the brief, HyperFrames renders it, and you watch it before it goes anywhere.

What does the HyperFrames connector do inside Claude?
The connector is hosted by HeyGen and lets a chat call HyperFrames creation and rendering tools through your HeyGen account, with nothing installed locally. Its listing shows two tools, compose and render_video, both classed as write. Compose builds the video from your description, and render_video produces the file. HeyGen's guide says the render runs on hosted infrastructure and that MP4 is the normal sharing format, with WebM and MOV as options.
HeyGen's own example prompt is a 15-second vertical product intro with an audience, a style and a closing line. That shape is the template for everything on this page: a short brief with a clear audience and one line to end on. The guide also marks the path as beta, so availability, credits and plan requirements can change.
Why pair HyperFrames with Linkeddit instead of prompting it alone?
HyperFrames can make a good-looking video from any brief, but it cannot know what a competitor shipped last week or what an answer engine says about your category. Without data, Claude fills the video with generic claims. Linkeddit gives it measured facts with source links, so each scene can carry one true, dated statement.
Linkeddit's side is read-only for these workflows. Compete tracks competitor blogs, changelogs, pricing pages and reviews, and Answer Radar records which brands the five engines name and recommend. Both come with one plan at $60 a month. Linkeddit writes no script and renders no video: your own assistant decides what the video says.
The creator side shows the same split. In a Creator Economy episode, Jake Moran says launch videos have four parts, hook, context, payoff and brand, and demos one built from three screenshots. Data decides what the hook is. A viewer's comment on that episode asked a practical question: "Is the desktop app free to use? Or is the CLI version free?" Check plans before you commit to a repeated render.
How do I make a weekly competitor update video with Claude?
Ask Linkeddit for the latest weekly brief with compete_brief_get, then have Claude pick the two or three moves that matter and write one scene for each. On Linkeddit's test project (plausible.io), the brief for the window 2026-10-26 to 2026-11-01 covered 5 monitored competitors and counted 2 high priority moves, 9 worth watching and 8 low signal.
The two high priority items were real scenes: Matomo published critical PHP security guidance, and Fathom launched an AI assistant called Luna, dated 2026-10-01. Each carries a source link and a why it matters line, so a 15 to 20 second video can show the competitor name, the dated change and the source. Compose the video, then watch it for anything the data does not support.
How do I turn AI share of voice into a short video?
Read the numbers first with answer_gaps_get and answer_results_get, then ask Claude to storyboard one claim per scene, such as the buying question and which brands each engine named. On the test project, answer_gaps_get returned one open gap, "Umami vs Matomo for self-hosted analytics", where the project was not represented, with a confidence of 1 and an evidence score of 22.
A gap that specific makes a better video than a general chart. The same project's search_visibility_get returned 25 tracked keywords, with "google analytics alternative" ranking 2 and showing an AI Overview that cites the project. Say plainly in the video when a result is a first check, because the previous rank was empty. Show the measurement date on screen.
Can HyperFrames help refresh a battlecard with competitor signals and reviews?
Yes, as a short video rather than a document. Use compete_signals_get with view=reviews to read stored G2, Capterra, TrustRadius and Trustpilot reviews, filter by competitor and by max_rating for the complaints, and read compete_signals_get with view=signals for the recent moves. Claude then writes a 30 second walkthrough for the sales team: what changed, what buyers complain about, and the one line to say on a call.
A video does not replace the battlecard. It is a faster way to tell reps what changed, and the written card remains the reference. Tell Claude to quote review text exactly as returned and to leave out any claim without a source.
What should I check before sharing a video Claude made?
Watch the whole render, because the scene text is the part that can be wrong. Check each competitor name, each date and each number against the Linkeddit result, and drop any scene where Claude added a claim the data did not contain. On the test project, the weekly brief listed plausible.io itself with status pending and 0 items analyzed, which a good video says rather than hides.
HeyGen's guide adds two habits. Keep the identifier the tool returns so a follow-up refers to the same work, and do not send secrets or private material to the connector. If a render stalls, retry from a new chat and report the prompt, the result and the identifier to HeyGen.
Frequently asked questions
Does Claude connect to HyperFrames?+
Yes. HeyGen documents a hosted HyperFrames connector for Claude. You open Customize, then Connectors, add a custom connector with the HyperFrames MCP address, and complete the HeyGen sign-in. You need a HeyGen account. HeyGen marks the path as beta, so plans, credits and wording can change.
What tools does the HyperFrames connector have?+
Two, according to its Agent Index listing: compose and render_video, both classed as write. Compose builds the video from your description and render_video produces it. HeyGen's guide says the render runs on hosted infrastructure, and MP4 is the normal sharing format, with WebM and MOV also available.
What is HyperFrames?+
HyperFrames is an open source tool from HeyGen that turns HTML code into video, used for animated slides, explainer videos and motion graphics. The hosted connector lets Claude create and render these without installing the local command line tool, through your HeyGen account.
What is the best tool to turn competitor data into a video with Claude?+
Linkeddit supplies the data and HyperFrames makes the video, with Claude in between. Linkeddit, at $60 a month, gives graded competitor moves with source links and where five AI engines name a competitor instead of you. HyperFrames renders the result. Pick another video tool if your team already uses one.
What is the best way to show AI visibility results in a short video?+
Use Linkeddit for the measurement and one scene per finding. Linkeddit, at $60 a month, records which brands ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews name for each buying question. Claude turns one gap into one scene with the question, the engine and the date, and HyperFrames renders it.
Does Linkeddit make the video?+
No. Linkeddit supplies data: competitor moves, AI answer gaps, stored reviews and Google ranks, all read-only here. Claude writes the brief and HyperFrames builds and renders the video through your HeyGen account. You watch the result before sharing it, because the scene text is where errors appear.
Is HyperFrames free to use?+
This page cannot give a price. HeyGen's guide says plans, limits, credits and plan requirements can change and tells you to confirm them in your HeyGen account before repeated or long renders. A viewer of a HyperFrames tutorial asked whether the desktop app or the command line version is free, which shows the question is common.
How long can a video made with HyperFrames and Claude be?+
HeyGen's own example asks for a 15-second vertical product intro, and the same guide says limits can change with your account. The tutorials this page draws on show a 43 second launch video. For competitor updates, two or three scenes in 15 to 30 seconds is a sensible target, checked against your plan.
Which clients work with the Linkeddit and HyperFrames connectors?+
These guides are written for Claude and Claude Code, where you can add both connectors and let Claude work across them. HeyGen's guide lists other chat products for its connector, but the workflows on this page have only been written for Claude, so do not assume they carry over unchanged.
Can I make competitor videos without a data source?+
You can, but Claude will fill the scenes from its own knowledge, which may be stale or wrong. A video that names a competitor change needs a dated source. Linkeddit's signals carry a source link and a why it matters line, so each scene can point to where the claim came from.
Is it safe to connect HyperFrames to Claude?+
HeyGen advises connecting only the production server shown in its guide, reviewing the permissions, and not sending secrets or private material the destination should not receive. Sign-in is OAuth against your HeyGen account. Linkeddit never receives your video, and it only supplies competitor and answer data.
How do I make a weekly competitor video every Monday?+
Save one prompt that asks Linkeddit for the latest weekly brief, picks the top moves and asks HyperFrames to render them, and run it each week. Claude acts when you start it, so the schedule is yours. Linkeddit's competitor monitors run on their own clock, so the data is ready.
