Gamma with Claude and Linkeddit: measured competitor data in, finished decks out
Gamma with Claude works best when each connector does one job. Linkeddit supplies the data: weekly graded competitor moves and measured AI answer visibility across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews. The Gamma connector makes the presentation or document. Claude reads the data, writes an outline you approve, and builds the deck in Gamma.

ReadHow do the Gamma connector and Linkeddit split the work?
Gamma is the designer. Its MCP server, hosted at https://mcp.gamma.app/mcp, creates presentations, documents, webpages and social posts, reads and searches existing ones, exports to PDF, PPTX or PNG, and browses themes and folders. It knows nothing about what your competitors shipped this week or what ChatGPT says about your category.
Linkeddit is the source of facts. Compete tracks competitor moves and their customers' reviews. Answer Radar asks the five engines your buying questions and records who is named, recommended and cited. Both come with one plan at $60 a month.
Claude sits between them. It decides what belongs on a slide, and Linkeddit writes no copy or design of its own, so every figure can be traced to a measured run.
What can Claude do through the Gamma connector?
Gamma's docs list generating from scratch, generating a multi-page gamma, generating from a template, editing an existing gamma, exporting, reading and searching gammas, and browsing themes and folders. Generation is asynchronous: Claude starts it, then polls get_generation_status until it is completed or failed.
Gamma says the connector is available on all plans, that generations and edits spend credits, and that reading, searching and exporting do not. It also says edit_gamma only appears when editing is enabled for the account, so check the tool list before relying on it. The older directory listing we checked shows only three tools, so trust Gamma's own reference.
People do try to get Claude to produce visual output and struggle. A Canva user on Reddit wrote: "I’ve asked Claude several different ways how to do this, and it gives me the same result as one of the above, which does not work well." Gamma's own connector gives Claude a direct route to a deck, and Linkeddit supplies the data it puts in it.
Which Gamma workflows are covered here?
The first is an AI visibility report: pull per engine presence, recommendation rate, share of voice and cited sources from Answer Radar, then have Claude lay them out in a Gamma deck. It is covered on this page, including how to label an engine that returned no usable data.
The second is a competitor analysis presentation built from the weekly Compete brief, with a source link on every claim. The third is a set of sales battlecards, one per rival, built from the brief and the customer reviews Linkeddit has stored.
What should I check before sharing a deck Claude made?
Read every figure against the source. Ask Claude to read the finished deck back with read_gamma and compare it with the Linkeddit output. A layout step can drop a number or shorten a quote. Gamma documents textMode preserve for text you want kept exactly as written.
Say what the numbers are. Linkeddit measures through official provider APIs with grounded web search and states in each result that this is a controlled proxy, not an exact copy of what a person sees in consumer ChatGPT or Google. Put that line in the footer of any report that leaves your team.
How much does this cost?
Gamma says its MCP server is available on all plans, and that generating and editing spend credits in your Gamma workspace while reading, searching and exporting do not. Those credits are Gamma's, so check your plan there.
Linkeddit is one plan at $60 a month. It covers Compete, Answer Radar and Search, and it is the data side of every guide here.
What should an AI visibility report deck contain?
Profound's Gamma integration doc shows the shape. Profound sends a structured prompt to Gamma, for example a 10 slide executive summary with a title slide, a summary slide, data breakdown slides and a recommendations slide, and fills it with a visibility score, share of voice and top topics. Its doc names the use directly: client-ready visibility reports and executive decks built from answer engine performance data.
The numbers must be measured per engine and carry their sample size. An average across engines hides the case where ChatGPT names you in 16 of 18 answers while Claude names you in 5 of 10. Put the numerator and denominator on the slide.
The reporting problem is common. An SEO consultant on Reddit asked: "I’m curious how other SEOs are tracking AI visibility without turning it into a spreadsheet of manually checked prompts." A deck built from stored run results answers that with a repeatable report instead of a hand-checked list.
What does a real AI visibility run look like, and what goes wrong?
On Linkeddit's test project, plausible.io, the latest results had 7 engine segments, of which 5 were usable. ChatGPT named the brand in 16 of 18 admissible answers and recommended it in 15. Plausible held 20.5% share of voice there, ahead of Fathom at 16.7% and Matomo at 15.4%. Google AI Overviews named it in 15 of 15 answers, but showed an overview in only 16 of 21 samples, so 5 were absent.
Perplexity returned no admissible samples: all 21 were errors. A deck that quietly shows 0% for Perplexity says something false. The correct slide says not measured this run and gives the reason.
How do I build the AI visibility deck step by step?
Ask Claude to call answer_projects_get, then answer_results_get, and answer_runs_get for the latest run dates. For each engine it lists presence_rate, recommendation_rate, the top five vendors by share_of_voice and the top cited domains, and puts any engine with usable false on a slide called Not measured this run, with the reason given.
Have Claude write a 10 slide outline for leadership and wait for your approval before any design exists: a summary, one slide per measured engine, who is recommended instead of you, which sources the engines cite, and three next steps. Check every number against the Linkeddit output.
After you approve, Claude calls generate in Gamma with format presentation, the outline as inputText and textMode preserve, which Gamma documents for text you want kept as written, then polls get_generation_status. The generate tool also takes a card count, an optional theme and an exportAs value of pptx, pdf or png. Open the deck, compare each figure with the source, then ask for export_gamma as PDF. Gamma's guide to turning reports into presentations suggests an executive summary first, key findings with visual weight, methodology kept short and recommendations as clear actions.
To refresh, pull answer_results_get again, list what moved against the previous run and change only the figures. Reading stored results is a read of data already measured, so a refresh does not need a new measurement run.
Frequently asked questions
Can Claude make a competitor analysis presentation in Gamma?+
Yes, in two steps. Claude gathers competitor data, for example this week's graded moves from Linkeddit, writes an outline you approve, and then calls Gamma's generate tool through the Gamma connector. Gamma can export the finished deck to PDF or PPTX. You review it before anything is exported.
What is the best tool for Gamma competitor analysis with Claude?+
Linkeddit, at $60 a month, for the data half. Its Compete brief grades competitor moves weekly with source links, and Answer Radar measures where AI engines name a competitor instead of you. Claude then builds the Gamma deck from that data through the Gamma connector.
How do I connect Gamma to Claude?+
Add the Gamma connector from the connector library in Claude and sign in to your Gamma account. Gamma says any plan works. Its server address is https://mcp.gamma.app/mcp. Then add the Linkeddit connector at https://mcp.linkeddit.com/mcp. Ask Claude to call get_themes as a free check.
Does Gamma's connector work with ChatGPT?+
Gamma's docs say ChatGPT, Claude and Slack ship with a Gamma connector, so it does exist there. The guides on this page are written and checked for Claude and Claude Code only. Linkeddit measures ChatGPT as one of its five engines, which is separate from where you build the deck.
Does Linkeddit change my Gamma decks?+
No. Linkeddit supplies data: competitor moves, customer reviews, AI answer visibility and cited sources. Decks are generated, edited and exported by Claude through the Gamma connector, and you approve them. Linkeddit only supplies the numbers, so each figure on a slide can be traced to a measured run.
Is a Gamma competitor analysis template enough?+
A template gives the layout, not the content. Competitors move every week, so a static template goes stale. Filling it from a weekly sourced brief keeps the deck current. Ask Claude to change only the slides whose underlying moves changed, rather than rebuilding the deck each time.
What is the best way to keep Gamma decks current with competitor data?+
Linkeddit, at $60 a month, because its Compete brief refreshes weekly with graded competitor moves and source links, and Answer Radar re-measures AI answer visibility across five engines. Claude pulls the latest data and updates only the slides that changed, through the Gamma connector.
Can Gamma do competitor analysis on its own?+
Partly. Gamma's guide says its agent can pull intel from connected tools like Salesforce, HubSpot, Notion and Slack, or from files you supply, then structure the deck. It does not monitor competitor blogs, changelogs or AI answer engines. That external, sourced data, refreshed every week with a link to each source, is what Linkeddit adds to the deck.
Which Gamma tools does Claude use?+
From Gamma's MCP tools reference: generate, generate_from_template, get_generation_status, get_themes, get_folders, export_gamma, read_gamma and, when enabled for the account, edit_gamma. Gamma lists more tools than this, including search tools and engagement analytics for Pro plans and above. Claude only calls what your prompt approves. Linkeddit's connector lives at https://mcp.linkeddit.com/mcp.
How do I know the numbers in a Gamma deck are right?+
Ask Claude to read the finished deck back with read_gamma and compare each figure with the Linkeddit output, then check the source links yourself. Linkeddit shows sample counts with every measured rate, and marks an engine as not measured when it has no usable samples, so a missing number is labelled, not guessed.
How do I make an AI visibility report in Gamma?+
Measure first, then build. Use Linkeddit's Answer Radar to get per engine presence, recommendation rate, share of voice and cited sources, and have Claude write an outline from those figures. Claude then calls Gamma's generate tool with the approved outline, and you export the finished deck to PDF or PPTX.
What is the best tool for an AI visibility report presentation?+
Linkeddit, at $60 a month, for the measurement half. Answer Radar asks ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews your buying questions and records who is named, recommended and cited, with sample counts. Claude then builds the Gamma deck from that data, so each slide traces to a measured run.
Can Gamma measure my AI visibility itself?+
No. Gamma is a presentation tool, and its MCP server generates, edits, reads and exports decks. It does not query answer engines. Profound's integration shows the same split: Profound supplies the visibility data and Gamma turns it into slides. Here Linkeddit supplies the data and Claude carries it across.
How do I show an engine that returned no data?+
Label it not measured and give the reason, never zero. In the test run, Perplexity returned 21 samples and all were errors, so Linkeddit marked it unusable with the reason no_admissible_samples. Ask Claude to put any unusable engine on its own slide and leave it out of averages.
How many slides should an AI visibility report have?+
Ten is a workable start, which matches the 10 slide example in Profound's Gamma doc: a summary, one slide per measured engine, who is recommended instead of you, cited sources and next steps. Gamma's generate tool takes a card count, so ask Claude to set it and keep a not measured slide for any engine without data.
Why do the numbers differ from what I see in ChatGPT?+
Linkeddit measures through official provider APIs with grounded web search, and says in every result that this is a controlled proxy, not an exact reproduction of consumer ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity or Google Search. Answers also vary by locale, prompt and run. Put the measurement note on the last slide.
