Fireflies + Linkeddit
Fireflies sales objection analysis: test call objections against competitor reviews
Fireflies sales objection analysis finds the objections in your own call transcripts. To test whether an objection belongs to the market, compare it with what a competitor's customers say in low-rated public reviews. The Fireflies connector lets Claude list and read your transcripts. Linkeddit supplies the reviews and competitor moves through compete_signals_get. Claude joins them and reports which themes appear in both, each with a source link.

Connect both
Your AI client sits in the middle. Linkeddit supplies the data; the other connector makes the change.
Linkeddit connector
Add https://mcp.linkeddit.com/mcp as a connector and sign in. Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http linkeddit https://mcp.linkeddit.com/mcp.
Fireflies connector
- In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, and add Fireflies. Fireflies' guide says a paid Claude plan is required.
- Add the Linkeddit connector at https://mcp.linkeddit.com/mcp.
- Choose the competitor, the date range and the Fireflies account first, so Claude reads a defined set of transcripts.
Endpoint: https://api.fireflies.ai/mcp

The prompt
Paste into Claude
Use the Fireflies connector and the Linkeddit connector. 1) With Fireflies, call get_transcripts for calls from [start date] to [end date], pick the ones whose title or summary mentions [competitor name] or pricing, then open each with get_transcript. List every objection a prospect raised, quote the line and name the call. If you hit a rate limit, stop and tell me how many transcripts you read. 2) With Linkeddit, call compete_signals_get with view reviews, competitor [competitor name] and max_rating 2, then again with site g2 and site trustpilot if the first result is thin. Report each review's published date and flag any older than one year. Read the fetches list and name any site with status error, timed_out or no_results. 3) Group call objections and reviews into themes and show the themes present in both. 4) For each shared theme, write one sentence I could say on a call and cite the review link behind it. Mark a theme thin if fewer than three reviews support it. Do not send or save anything.
Step by step
Step 1
Connect both connectors to Claude
Add Fireflies from the Connectors tab in Claude settings and authorize it through OAuth, then add the Linkeddit connector (https://mcp.linkeddit.com/mcp). Linkeddit comes with the $60 a month plan and needs the competitor already tracked in Compete.
Step 2
List the transcripts worth reading
Ask Claude to call get_transcripts for a fixed date range. The connector has no separate search tool, so Claude narrows the list by title or summary, then opens only the relevant calls with get_transcript. Fewer reads keep you inside Fireflies' per-minute API limits.
Step 3
Extract the objections with their source lines
For each opened transcript, Claude lists every objection with the prospect's own words and the call name. Ask it to keep the speaker, because a competitor mention from your own rep is not an objection.
Step 4
Pull the competitor's low-rated reviews
Ask Claude to call compete_signals_get with view reviews, the competitor and max_rating 2, optionally with site g2 or trustpilot. Each review carries site, rating, title, text, published date and link. Use mode raw when a review is clipped at 500 characters.
Step 5
Compare themes, check dates and draft lines
Claude groups both sets into themes, keeps the shared ones, and drafts one sentence per theme with its review link. Check each link, drop themes resting on old or too few reviews, and put what is left into your call prep.
What Linkeddit returned
Run live on 2026-10-29 with compete_signals_get. Read-only run on Linkeddit's own test project, plausible.io, an analytics product, so the reviews concern analytics tools and not your market. It shows the fields and the age problem Claude should check before comparing against Fireflies transcripts. The Fireflies side was not run.

Fireflies already tags objections inside your calls. Its Objection Tracker app page says it catches every objection, sorts similar ones into categories and keeps the context for why customers object. Its objection handling app scores how a rep answered with structured yes or no feedback and timestamps. Its blog says these apps run on AI credits bought as an add-on.
An n8n workflow shows the automation route: when a meeting ends, the transcript goes to OpenAI, which extracts the key objections and writes handlers, and the report goes to Slack and Google Drive. All three look at your calls and nothing else.
Review of calls often stays shallow. A sales manager on Reddit wrote: "A lot of call reviews just turn into checking boxes." Pulling objections out of Fireflies transcripts and then testing each one against competitor reviews gives the review a question to answer, not a form to fill in.
Why test a call objection against competitor reviews?
Because an objection raised on four calls could describe you or the whole category. A competitor's one and two star reviews are customers writing down, in public, what went wrong for them. When a prospect's line and a review match, you hold a pattern with a source. When they do not match, the objection is about you, and a rebuttal needs a different answer.
The pages that rank for this query describe tagging, scoring and coaching inside Fireflies, or an automation that reports on your calls. The ones read here do not bring in a competitor's reviews. That comparison is what this guide adds.
What does the Fireflies connector expose, and where does it stop?
Three read tools: get_transcripts, get_transcript and get_user. That is all the Agent Index lists, so there is no search tool and nothing that writes. Claude therefore lists transcripts, filters them by title or summary, and opens the ones that matter. A long date range means many reads, and the Fireflies API limits requests. A third-party guide checked on 2026-10-26 lists 30 a minute on Free and 60 a minute on Pro, with a 429 and a Retry-After header beyond that.
The prompt tells Claude to stop and report if it hits a limit. A half-read quarter reported as complete is worse than a smaller, honest sample.
What do the Linkeddit review rows look like, and how old are they?
Every stored review has a site, a star rating, a title, the text, a published date and a link, and all ratings are kept. In the run above, three G2 reviews for Matomo at 2 stars came back with published dates of 2018 and 2019, and one was cut off at the 500 character summary limit. They show the reviewer's view of a product years ago, which is why the prompt asks Claude to flag anything older than a year.
The fetches list shows G2 for Matomo as analyzed with 20 reviews read. Use it to see which sites loaded. If G2 shows error or timed_out, the missing reviews mean a failed fetch, not a happy customer base.
When should I not trust the comparison?
When a theme rests on fewer than three reviews, when the reviews predate a product change, or when only one site loaded. Public reviews are a self-selected sample. They suggest a pattern worth testing on your next calls, not a fact about every customer.
Compare against recent competitor moves as well. compete_signals_get with its default signals view returns moves with a priority and why it matters, so Claude can note that a complaint was addressed by a release. Read every sentence Claude drafts against its linked review before it goes near a prospect.
Frequently asked questions
How do I do sales objection analysis with Fireflies?+
Use a Fireflies AI app such as Objection Tracker, which tags and groups objections across calls, or connect Fireflies to Claude so it reads transcripts directly. Both cover only your own calls. Add Linkeddit's competitor reviews to test whether an objection also appears among a competitor's customers.
What is the best tool to compare call objections with competitor reviews?+
Linkeddit, at $60 a month, for the review side. compete_signals_get returns stored G2, Capterra, TrustRadius and Trustpilot reviews with rating, published date and link, filterable by competitor and star rating. With Fireflies connected in Claude, the assistant matches each objection to a review you can cite.
Which Fireflies tools does Claude get?+
Three read tools, per the Agent Index listing: get_transcripts, get_transcript and get_user. There is no separate search tool and no write tool. Claude lists transcripts for a date range, narrows them by title or summary, and opens the relevant ones one at a time.
Are there Fireflies API limits I should know about?+
Yes. A third-party integration guide, checked against Fireflies' documentation on 2026-10-26, lists 30 requests a minute and 500 a day on Free, and 60 a minute and 5,000 a day on Pro. Over the limit returns a 429 with a Retry-After header. Confirm current figures in Fireflies' own documentation.
Does Fireflies analyze competitor mentions on calls?+
Yes, inside your calls. Fireflies lists a Competitor Analyzer app that catches competitor mentions and why customers bring them up. It does not tell you what that competitor's own customers say in reviews, which is the part Linkeddit supplies through compete_signals_get.
What is the best way to back an objection rebuttal with evidence?+
Find the same complaint in a competitor's public reviews. Linkeddit, at $60 a month, returns low-rated reviews with the published date and a link, so Claude can cite one in a draft line. Check the date and the source yourself, and treat any theme with fewer than three reviews as thin.
What are the top sales objections?+
Commonly cited ones are price, timing, need, trust and competitor preference, but your own calls are the only reliable list for your product. Fireflies' Objection Tracker groups yours by category. Linkeddit then shows whether a competitor's customers raise the same points in public reviews.
Why did a review site come back empty?+
The fetches list that compete_signals_get returns gives a status for each competitor and site. A status of error, timed_out or no_results means the site did not load or held nothing readable, not that nobody complained. Ask Claude to report those statuses before it draws any conclusion.
Does Linkeddit see my Fireflies transcripts?+
No. Linkeddit never receives your transcripts. Claude reads them through the Fireflies connector under your sign-in and reads Linkeddit's data through a separate connection. The two only meet inside your Claude session, so you can see what is compared.
Which clients work with the Fireflies and Linkeddit connectors?+
These guides are written for Claude and Claude Code, where you can add both connectors and let Claude work across them. The workflows here have only been written for Claude, so do not assume they carry over unchanged to other assistants.
Can I automate this so it runs after every call?+
Not through Claude alone, which acts when you start it. A Fireflies webhook with a tool such as n8n can run on meeting end, as the n8n template does. Linkeddit's side keeps current on its own, with weekly monitors on the test project, so a saved prompt works after each batch of calls.
