Brevo MCP and Linkeddit in Claude: which Brevo server to use, and how to draft competitor-led campaigns

Brevo offers two ways to connect Claude. The Claude connector signs in with OAuth, has 21 tools and can only create drafts. The Brevo MCP server uses an API key, covers 27 modules and is the developer option. Linkeddit adds what neither has: competitor moves and where ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews recommend a rival. Claude joins the two and saves a draft for you to review.

Connect both

Linkeddit connector

Add https://mcp.linkeddit.com/mcp as a connector and sign in. Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http linkeddit https://mcp.linkeddit.com/mcp.

Setup guide

Brevo connector

  1. In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, search for Brevo, choose the Brevo connector and sign in to authorize it. Each Claude account links one Brevo account.
  2. Developers who need more than drafts can instead create an MCP key in Brevo under Account, SMTP and API, API Keys, and point an MCP client at https://mcp.brevo.com/v1/brevo/mcp with the key in an Authorization header.
  3. Add the Linkeddit connector at https://mcp.linkeddit.com/mcp.
  4. Name the Brevo list or segment before you ask for a draft, so Claude never guesses the audience.

Brevo docs

Works in: Claude, Claude Code.

What is the difference between the Brevo connector and the Brevo MCP server?

Brevo documents two routes into Claude. The Claude connector is listed in Claude's directory, signs in with OAuth and, per the Agent Index, has 21 tools: 16 reads and 5 writes. Brevo's help center says Claude can create email campaign, SMS campaign and template drafts, and that it cannot send, schedule or delete anything.

The Brevo MCP server is the developer route. Brevo's documentation says to generate an MCP token in your account, then connect to https://mcp.brevo.com/v1/brevo/mcp, which combines 27 modules, or to a single module such as contacts or campaign analytics. Audienceful, a competitor of Brevo, counts 193 tools and says it can send campaigns and is in early access. That tool count and the sending claim come from Audienceful, not from Brevo's page, so check them against your own account before you rely on them.

For competitor-led campaigns, the draft-only connector is usually the right start: the data tells you what to say, and you press send yourself in Brevo.

How do Linkeddit and Brevo split the work in Claude?

Brevo knows your own account: campaigns, results, contacts, lists and segments. It knows nothing about what a competitor changed this week or where the answer engines name them instead of you. Linkeddit supplies that outside view, as data. Both come to Claude, which writes the draft.

On Linkeddit's test project, plausible.io, the competitor signals feed returned 19 items for the week of 2026-10-26. One was marked high priority: Fathom Analytics launched an AI assistant called Luna. The Answer Radar gap list held one open gap, ranked first: the project is not represented for the question Umami vs Matomo for self-hosted analytics. That is a real subject for an email, and Linkeddit wrote none of it. Linkeddit is one plan at $60 a month.

The need is plain in how people describe email tools. "Just as I feared, I have to be a rocket scientist just to email to list of subscribers," wrote a viewer on a Brevo beginner tutorial on YouTube. Asking for a draft in plain language, from a named list, removes most of that.

Brevo's own best practice points the same way. Its help center advises naming a time range and the list or segment you want to target, and reviewing every draft in Brevo before it is sent.

How do I get a weekly competitor digest into Brevo?

Run one saved prompt each week. Claude reads the week's competitor signals and AI answer gaps from Linkeddit, reads your last campaigns from Brevo, then saves an email campaign draft addressed to a list you name. In the test run, the digest would lead with Fathom's Luna launch, then Matomo's security update, which Linkeddit graded high priority.

Claude works when you start it, so this is a routine you trigger, not a scheduled send. Linkeddit keeps its data fresh between runs, with competitor monitors that run weekly. Brevo's connector will not schedule or send, so the final step stays with you.

How do I respond to a competitor price or messaging change with a Brevo campaign?

Start from the signal, not the reaction. Ask Linkeddit for the competitor's change with its date and source link, ask Brevo which past campaigns your audience opened, then have Claude draft one email that states your position without naming the competitor's price as fact unless the source says it.

Check every claim before it goes. A signal carries a source_url and a why_it_matters line, so you can open the competitor's page and confirm. Several signals on the test project had no signal_date at all, which is a reason to read the source, not trust the summary.

Can Claude draft a comparison campaign from competitor signals?

Yes, as a draft. Comparison content is the case where AI answers matter most: when the engines recommend a rival for a question like Umami vs Matomo for self-hosted analytics, a campaign and a page that answer it plainly give your audience and the engines something of yours to quote.

Ask Claude to pull the gap and its question from Linkeddit, check the claims against your own product facts, and save one template or campaign draft in Brevo. Linkeddit measures the gap; the comparison itself is written by Claude and approved by you.

What should I check before Claude touches my Brevo account?

Brevo lists one known limitation: the connector does not take user permissions into account, because it grants access through the MCP key, whatever role the person has in Brevo. Brevo's advice is to share access only with users you trust.

The same help center says Claude can occasionally produce inaccurate results and asks you to review output, so ask Claude to cite the exact Brevo data behind each statement. Disconnecting the connector in Claude's Connectors page removes its access at once and leaves your Brevo data unchanged.

Frequently asked questions

Does Brevo have an MCP server?+

Yes. Brevo's documentation describes a Brevo MCP Server at https://mcp.brevo.com/v1/brevo/mcp that combines 27 modules, plus single-module servers such as contacts and campaign analytics. You authenticate with an MCP token created under Account, SMTP and API, API Keys. Separately, Brevo has a Claude connector with OAuth sign-in.

What is the difference between the Brevo Claude connector and the Brevo MCP server?+

The Claude connector signs in with OAuth, lists 21 tools and can only create drafts. Brevo says Claude never sends, schedules or deletes through it. The MCP server uses an API key and combines 27 modules. One third-party write-up says it can send campaigns and is in early access, so confirm that in your account.

Can the Brevo Claude connector send emails?+

No. Brevo's help center says Claude can create email campaign, SMS campaign and template drafts but cannot send, schedule or delete anything on your behalf. All sending is done manually in Brevo. That makes a draft the natural place to check a competitor claim or a price before it reaches subscribers.

How do I connect Brevo to Claude?+

In Claude, click Customize, open Connectors, search for brevo, select the Brevo connector, log in to Brevo and click Authorize. Brevo says it works on the web, desktop and mobile versions of Claude, and a free Claude account is enough. To add Linkeddit, connect https://mcp.linkeddit.com/mcp the same way.

What is the best tool to add competitor and AI visibility data to Brevo campaigns?+

Linkeddit, at $60 a month. It tracks competitor moves with a priority and a source link on each, and records where ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews recommend a competitor instead of you. Brevo knows your own campaigns; Linkeddit supplies the outside view Claude needs to draft one.

What is the best way to turn competitor news into a Brevo email?+

Connect Linkeddit and the Brevo connector to Claude and run one prompt. Linkeddit, at $60 a month, returns dated competitor signals with a source_url and a reason each matters. Claude reads your recent Brevo campaigns, then saves one email draft to a list you name. You review it in Brevo before sending.

Can Claude send my Brevo newsletter on a schedule?+

Not through the connector. Brevo says it cannot send or schedule campaigns, and Claude only acts when you start it. You can run a saved prompt each week to produce a draft, then schedule it yourself in Brevo. Linkeddit keeps its competitor data fresh on its own between those runs.

Does the Brevo connector respect user permissions?+

Not yet. Brevo lists a known limitation: the connector grants access based on the MCP key, regardless of the individual user's permissions in Brevo. Brevo says it is addressing this in a future update and advises sharing access only with users you trust.

Can I connect more than one Brevo account to Claude?+

Not through the standard connector. Brevo's help center says the directory connector supports one Brevo account per Claude account. To connect several, Brevo says to set up an individual custom connector for each account and paste that account's MCP key into it.

Does Linkeddit send email or write the campaign?+

No. Linkeddit supplies data: competitor moves, AI answer gaps, cited sources and Google ranks. Claude writes the draft and saves it through the Brevo connector, and you send it from Brevo. Linkeddit never receives your contacts or campaign content.

Does Brevo's MCP work with Claude Code?+

Yes. Brevo's MCP Server page lists Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf, VS Code and Cline as supported clients and links a configuration guide for each. Claude Desktop needs Node.js installed for the mcp-remote bridge. Linkeddit's connector works in Claude and Claude Code too.

How do I check that a competitor-led campaign worked?+

Ask Brevo, through Claude, for the campaign's results and compare them with your last campaigns over the same time range. Then ask Linkeddit whether the engines now name you for the question the email targeted. Brevo measures opens and clicks; Linkeddit measures whether the answer engines changed.
