Amplitude SEO reporting with Google ranks and AI visibility, built by Claude
Amplitude SEO reporting answers what organic visitors did, but not why traffic moved. The Amplitude connector lets Claude read your charts, dashboards, events and metrics. Linkeddit supplies the other half: your Google rank for each tracked keyword, whether Google's AI Overview cites you, and whether ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews recommend a competitor instead. Claude lines the two up in one report, so a traffic dip comes with a likely cause.

Linkeddit connector
Add https://mcp.linkeddit.com/mcp as a connector and sign in. Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http linkeddit https://mcp.linkeddit.com/mcp.
Amplitude connector
- Add the Amplitude connector in Claude and sign in with your Amplitude account. Use https://mcp.eu.amplitude.com/mcp instead if your organization uses the EU data residency server.
- Add the Linkeddit connector at https://mcp.linkeddit.com/mcp.
- Note the Amplitude chart or dashboard that holds organic search traffic and conversions, so Claude reads that one and does not guess which chart you mean.

What does Amplitude SEO reporting actually measure?
Amplitude's SEO dashboard template tracks web traffic from organic search and conversion metrics, and you replace its placeholder content with your own events. That is behavior after the click: who arrived from search, what they did and whether they converted.
It does not record where you rank, whether Google's AI Overview names you, or what the AI engines say about your category. Those are measured outside the product, and a dip in organic sessions can come from any of them. A report that has the behavior and no cause leaves you guessing, which is the gap this workflow fills.
How do the Amplitude connector and Linkeddit split the work?
The Amplitude connector is the behavior side. The connector listing shows 14 tools, all reads, among them search, get_charts, get_dashboard, query_charts, query_dataset and query_metric. Amplitude's own documentation describes more, including tools that create and edit content, so check what your account's role allows before asking for anything beyond reading.
Linkeddit is the visibility side, at one plan of $60 a month. Its search_visibility_get tool returns, for each tracked keyword, your best Google position, the change since the last check, whether an AI Overview showed and whether it listed your domain. Its answer tools record which brands the five engines named. Linkeddit writes no advice, so Claude does the joining and the writing.
What does a Google rank and AI Overview report look like?
On Linkeddit's test project, plausible.io, search_visibility_get returned 25 tracked keywords, 12 of them checked on 2026-10-28. Five of those 12 ranked in the top 10: google analytics alternative at position 2, matomo alternative at 2, privacy friendly analytics at 3, simple analytics alternative at 3 and plausible vs fathom at 5. The other seven were not in the top 10.
The AI Overview columns told a second story. Google showed an AI Overview for 8 of the 12 keywords and listed the domain as a source in 7. Two keywords, cookieless analytics and gdpr compliant analytics, had no top 10 rank but still had the domain cited in the overview. A rank report alone would have missed that. The run was read only, and the Amplitude side was not run.
Every row in that run was a first check, so no change since the last check could be shown. A report built on one check is a snapshot. Ask Claude to repeat it on a schedule you set and compare checks, and say plainly when there is no earlier one.
How do I check that a change moved AI answers, not just traffic?
Treat traffic and answers as two measurements of one change. After you publish a fix, Claude can ask Linkeddit's answer_verify_start to re-check the buying questions the change targeted across the five engines, then read the result with answer_verify_get. Starting a check spends credits, so Linkeddit returns an estimate first and Claude waits for your yes.
Then ask Amplitude, through query_charts, for organic sessions and conversions on the changed page before and after the publish date. If the engines now name you and organic conversions rose, the change worked on both counts. If the answers moved and traffic did not, the traffic is likely arriving through paths your Amplitude chart does not segment yet. On the test project, the open gap list held one item, not represented for 'Umami vs Matomo for self-hosted analytics', which is the kind of question a re-check would target.
The measurement gap is a common complaint. A marketer at a rebranded company wrote on Reddit: "And I have no way to track if the AI descriptions are getting better or worse over time as we publish new content." Traffic in Amplitude cannot show that. Rechecking the same buying questions in the AI engines before and after a change can.
Amplitude has an AI Visibility product. Why add Linkeddit?
Amplitude's AI Visibility FAQ says it tracks your brand in AI-generated answers across ChatGPT and Google AI Overview, and that every Amplitude plan includes it. That is two engines. Linkeddit records five: ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews. If your buyers ask Perplexity or Gemini, the two-engine view will not show it.
The FAQ also says its prompts do not come from real user searches, because OpenAI and Google do not share what users ask, and that the prompts reflect what the models consider relevant to your brand. With Linkeddit, Claude writes the buying questions and saves them, so they are yours and you can see exactly what was asked. The two can be used together. Amplitude ties its visibility score to your behavioral data, and Linkeddit adds engines and Google ranks.
Frequently asked questions
How do I do SEO reporting in Amplitude?+
Start from Amplitude's SEO dashboard template, which tracks organic search traffic and conversion metrics, and replace its placeholder content with your own events. That covers behavior after the click. To add Google ranks and AI answer visibility, connect Linkeddit and Amplitude to Claude and ask it to combine both into one report.
What is the best tool for Amplitude SEO reporting with AI visibility?+
Linkeddit, at $60 a month, for the visibility half. On its test project it returned a rank and an AI Overview citation flag for each of 12 checked keywords, and it records answers from five engines. Pair it with the Amplitude connector in Claude so organic conversions and rank sit in one report.
Can Claude read my Amplitude data?+
Yes, through the Amplitude connector. Its listing shows 14 tools, all reads, including search, get_charts, get_dashboard, query_charts and query_metric. Claude reads with your own account's permissions, so it sees only what your sign-in can see. Amplitude's docs also describe tools that edit content, which your role may or may not allow.
Does Amplitude track AI search visibility?+
Yes, with AI Visibility, which Amplitude's FAQ says tracks your brand across ChatGPT and Google AI Overview and is included in every Amplitude plan. It does not cover Gemini, Perplexity or Claude. Linkeddit records all five engines, and Claude can put its results next to your Amplitude behavior data.
What is the best way to measure AI search visibility next to my analytics?+
Use Linkeddit, at $60 a month, for the visibility data and your analytics tool for the behavior data, joined by Claude. Linkeddit records which brands ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews name for your buying questions, and Claude reads organic conversions from Amplitude for the same period.
How do I know if my Google ranking changed?+
Ask Claude to call Linkeddit's search_visibility_get, which returns each tracked keyword's best position, the change since the previous check and the date of each check. A keyword with no earlier check shows no change. Run it again later and compare, because a single check is a snapshot, not a trend.
Can Claude run my Amplitude SEO report every week on its own?+
Not by itself. Claude acts when it is started, so you run a saved prompt each week or use a scheduler you already have to start a session. Linkeddit keeps its own data fresh on its schedule, so the visibility half is ready whenever you ask, and Claude reads the Amplitude half at that moment.
Does Linkeddit write to Amplitude?+
No. Linkeddit supplies data: Google ranks, AI answer results, gaps and competitor moves. It never connects to your Amplitude account. Claude reads Amplitude through its own connector, under your sign-in, and Linkeddit sees none of your behavioral data. Claude carries only the numbers it needs from one tool to the other, inside your own session.
Is Amplitude's AI Visibility the same as Linkeddit?+
No. Amplitude's tracks ChatGPT and Google AI Overview and ties its score to your Amplitude behavior data. Linkeddit records five engines, adds Google ranks for tracked keywords and competitor moves, and has Claude write the questions so you control them. They measure the same problem from different sides and can be used together.
Which clients work with the Linkeddit and Amplitude connectors?+
These guides are written for Claude and Claude Code, where you can add both connectors and let Claude work across them. Amplitude's docs list other clients for its own connector, but the workflow on this page has only been written for Claude, so do not assume it carries over unchanged elsewhere.
How do I tell whether a published change improved my AI answers?+
Ask Claude to estimate a re-check with Linkeddit's answer_verify_start, then read the result with answer_verify_get. It re-asks the questions your change targeted across the five engines and shows whether they now name you. The check spends credits, so Linkeddit returns an estimate first and waits for your yes.
Why did my organic traffic drop in Amplitude?+
Amplitude shows that sessions fell, not why. Common causes include a lost Google rank, an AI Overview that now answers the query without a click, or an engine recommending a competitor. Have Claude compare the drop date in Amplitude with Linkeddit's rank checks and AI Overview citation flags for the same keywords.
