Exporting and Publishing a Presell Page
We never host your page. That is a decision rather than a limitation: a page on your own domain keeps the visitor inside your brand, keeps your analytics intact, and does not stop working if we do. There are two ways to get it there, and this guide covers both.
Quick Answer
Export gives you one self-contained HTML file with its images inlined. Publishing sends the page to a connected WordPress site or Shopify store, and republishing updates it rather than creating a second page.
- Exports are free and unlimited, because a render costs nothing.
- Connecting a site is a two step action: the first call tells you what is about to happen.
- Publishing the same page twice updates it, so fixing a typo never leaves two pages competing.
- Unpublishing turns the page into a draft on your own site rather than deleting anything.

Exporting
Export produces one file. Styles are inlined, images travel inside it, and there is nothing to upload separately and nothing pointing back at us that could break later. Put it anywhere that serves HTML.
A page with an unresolved red claim cannot be exported. That is the one gate on this path, and resolving it takes a source link, a rewrite into your own position, or a cut.
Connecting a site
Connecting happens in Presell settings, at the account level rather than per page, because a target is one site shared by every page you build. WordPress and Shopify are the two that publish a whole page rather than an item into somebody else's template.
It is deliberately two steps. The first call writes nothing and returns what is about to happen, including what that platform cannot do, so you find out before you commit rather than after you publish and look. Credentials are encrypted at rest, deleted when you disconnect, never logged, and never returned by a read.
- WordPress publishes a page and creates a template that suppresses the theme chrome.
- Shopify publishes a page into the store, within what the storefront theme allows.
- Disconnecting deletes the credential and keeps the row and its history.
- Every connector reports what it could not do rather than failing quietly.
Publishing and republishing
Publishing renders the page and sends it to the target. The result is recorded against the page, including the remote identifier, so the next publish knows it is the same page and updates it. A customer who fixes a typo and republishes must not end up with two pages competing for the same ad, and this is what prevents that.
Unpublishing takes the page back to a draft on your own site. Nothing is destroyed at either end, and the version history in Presell is untouched by anything that happens on the far side.
Images travel with the page. A published page that pointed at images we hold would break the moment anything on our side moved, so the assets are uploaded to your site with it.
What to check after the first publish
Open the page on your own domain and read it. Themes differ, and what a storefront wraps around a page is not something we control on every platform. The publish result says what the connector could and could not do, and that sentence is worth reading before you point spend at the URL.
Then tag it. The measurement snippet goes on the new page and on the page it is replacing, which is the only arrangement in which the comparison means anything.
FAQ
Do you host the page at all?
No. There is no hosting, no content delivery layer and no page serving anywhere in this product. Everything you publish lives on infrastructure you control, which is also why there is no takedown mechanism for us to operate.
Does publishing cost credits?
No. Rendering and publishing are free, as are exports, version history and restores. Credits are spent on generation, rewriting, images and brand analysis, which are the things that cost us real money.
Can an agent publish for me?
Yes, through the connector, and connecting a site is still two steps even there. Changing what an account can publish to is a governed action, and an agent should not do it on its own say so.
What if my platform is not listed?
Export the file and serve it yourself. More targets are planned, and each one will report honestly what it can receive rather than presenting every platform as equivalent when they are not.
