Legacy Reddit MCP (API key)

Legacy Reddit MCP overview

The original Linkeddit Reddit MCP server on the app: API-key headers and the full Reddit + lead/keyword/compete/content toolset. Still live.

What this is

The legacy Reddit MCP server runs on the Linkeddit web app and authenticates with per-key credentials (X-Client-Id / X-Client-Secret). It exposes the 27-tool business set: Reddit data plus your leads, pipelines, keyword research, competitive-intelligence briefs, content writer, and outreach. It remains fully supported.

The legacy server does not have the Answer Radar tools — those are connector-only. For new setups prefer the keyless Linkeddit connector (Get started), which is a superset. Use the legacy server when you want the business tools over API keys on the Pro plan.

These business tools are identical on both surfaces (same names and behavior), so they are documented once in the connector Tools reference — each tool's parameters there apply to the legacy server too. The Reddit tools are the same capabilities under the legacy names (search_reddit, fetch_subreddit, fetch_post_comments, fetch_reddit_json).

Endpoint

The streamable HTTP endpoint is:

Authenticate with your X-Client-Id / X-Client-Secret headers, or the OAuth 2.1 connector flow for Claude.ai. See the legacy Authentication & scopes page.
